I haven't gone to any dealers yet, but I'm about to. Camelback Ford has 7 GT and GTPE in stock right now, so I'm gonna go there to compare colors and models and the test drive. Surprise has a GTPE grabber blue in stock that is still at pre Jan 2023 price drop MSRP.

I'm really not looking forward to going through that car buying gauntlet. I swore after I bought my Ram 2500 4 years ago I would never do that again. It wasn't horrible, but why should it take 3 hours to buy something I already had an internet quote from my bank auto program for the exact VIN in stock that their sales rep said in writing they would honor. I even had my bank's "loan check" to the dealer for the exact financed amount.

Rodeo Ford is the chosen dealer for Costco Auto program. They also have the lowest sales tax in the valley. I may just order through them and wait the 6 months (assuming the Costco auto program is going to guarantee a straight forward purchase experience). It all depends on what kind of vibe the others give out.

Camelback will try to insist on thousands in BS dealer options.

Yea, I figured that might be the case since it's in the richest part of AZ.

Since you are willing to order and wait through Costco/Rodeo, you may also want to consider ordering through more conveniently located dealers. Mach-E sales have consistently been just barely below MSRP (via A/Z/X-plan pricing) to well above MSRP (greedy dealers like Camelback Ford).

X-plan is no longer offered for the MME. However, it's still pretty easy to get MSRP. You just need to start the "order" workflow through ford.com and once you've selected a dealer and the vehicle, the pricing summary will show you how much markup that dealer is asking. Last time I checked (some months ago?), most Phoenix dealers were asking $0 above MSRP. At least in the east valley, everyone I checked was at MSRP except San Tan which was a bit above.

Once you've identified your candidates, go find a salesperson at each and tell them you're interested in ordering so that you can get a new build at MSRP -- no markups or dealer add ons, etc. Get their agreement in writing and you're good to go.

I purchased my MMe online, and picked it up at Rodeo Ford. Waited 10 months for shipment to the dealer. Rodeo Ford was great. They honored all price agreements, no hassle, gave me a fair price for a trade-in (had current quotes with me from CarMax and others). No pressure to add extras. In and out in about 2 hours. I have not been back because my car has not required service (car is now 10 months old). Matter of fact, another MMe buyer picked up his car the same time I was finalizing my deal. Good luck-what ever you decide.

Just to add a couple more points... I did my MME test drive at Camelback because it's the most convenient dealer to me. They tried to sell me one they had incoming with ADM, but I was planning to order and use X-plan to buy. Plus, I'm not a fan of the way BH-owned dealerships are run, so I wanted to avoid those.

I ended up ordering online and specified Earnhardt Ford as my dealer because Chandler also matches the lowest sales tax rate in the area. At the time, both Rodeo and San Tan sales reps told me on the phone that they would not honor X-plan pricing. I do not recommend Earnhardt, as they clearly do not follow their own motto of "no bull."

Rodeo is an Earnhardt store, so take that for what it's worth. I went with Chapman based on recommendations here on the forum. Smooth easy process with no dealer add package.

Camelback wants $1,416.99 ADM
I see either $5k on their online listings or a "call us for price". I take it your precise number is something they actually quoted you?

If you try to order MME from Camelback from ford.com , the $1,416.99 ADM is what shows up.

Dealer gauntlet successfully completed. We went to Camelback Ford for the test drive and spent around 30 minutes talking about prices. They had $7.5k of "stuff" (nitrogen, paint protector, $40 for "enhanced antenna", etc) added to the GTPE MSRP and wouldn't budge on it. $87k was the quoted out the door price. That included a 1% "lieu tax", as in "in lieu of doing your research" tax. I'm pretty sure if we bought there they were gonna try to sell us on an extended warranty. The warranty posters were everywhere.

We went to Surprise Ford and they had the exact model we wanted and it was actually the showroom car. They had old MSRP and quoted $90k out the door. No thanks. That might have been the fastest interaction with a salesman who quoted real numbers I've ever had in my life.

Rodeo Ford was the winner. They are the Costco auto program certified dealer and we got MSRP + tag/doc fees+ tax. Annie and Ricardo are fantastic to work with! No pressure or sales gauntlet. Just straight quote with no upselling! I highly recommend them if you are looking to buy in Phoenix.

Rodeo had none in stock, but we ordered one and Ford estimates 8 week build time. Much better than the 22 week they were showing before. We are excited!

I bought at Earnhardt and I’d recommend them (on the sales side for sure; I haven’t experienced their service yet). It was really just by chance because they had the MME version we wanted when shopping new inventory online in the Valley.

Our test drive and every other part of the process was low pressure and transparent. In May I put a $500 deposit on the one we saw online (it wasn’t earmarked for anyone else luckily): a “dealer ordered” MME.

I then texted with my sales rep Joel off and on the next couple months. He’d give me transit updates and I’d ask questions. He let me know of on-site inventory too if we were tired of waiting. That’s pretty much how we finalized the deal including trade-in or money down options!

When we picked it up there was no nonsense and we paid exactly what we expected back in May (even though the base price online jumped $4k). The usual pitch came for an extended warranty (>$3k; I passed) but they didn’t push that much either.

Maybe just as important… upon delivery we sat in the car and set things up with a technician who was purely an EV guy (I made a point to ask). The first time I need service I’ll take it to Earnhardt for that reason, even though LH Miller is a lot closer to me.
