My dealership told me I don't need the Customer Satisfaction Program 21P22 - Software Calibration Update because my build date is new (July 2021, picked up Nov). Car does not fast charge past 80% so I think the dealer is wrong?

Your car hits 80% and stops charging?

Does not FAST CHARGE past 80%. Never said first charge past 80%.

I believe the user is discussing the 80% drop off.

The program is to address issues occurring when driving in hilly regions, so based on Ford, the dealer isn't wrong.. the DC fast charge update is an add on but not the reason for the program.

Program 21P22 only applies to cars built on or before June 18th 2021 according to a previous thread. I'm speculating here but your car might not need all the updates from the CSP 21P22 and you might get an update later for that specific issue.

July build dates do not have 21P22 and do not have the new software yet. Ford has not released the updated software that gives the 3 extra kWh and faster DC charging past 80%.

You may be right but the OP said the car does not fast charge past 80% so my question is valid. Does the car hit 80% and stop? If so, then the solution finding process is very different than it charges slowly after 80%.

A fair amount of room for interpretation here. They stated that the car doesn't "fast charge" past 80%. Could mean it stops charging at 80%, but one could also infer that they means that it drops down to level two charge rates (12kWh, or lower). Either way, no doubt they will be eagerly anticipating Ford's release of higher charge rates for post June builds. I've only used it once so far, but being able to run the charge up to the mid-90s while still getting well above the previous rate limit (42kWh vs 12kWh) is nice. YMMV of course.
