We run All seasons on the rest of our fleet and have always been good. Guessing the tires on the MME GT are not going to cut it for snow? Or, maybe they are. Would love to get some feedback on what others are doing with the GT models.

thx

Do you really want to put your car in the path of other Seattle drivers during the next snow? We lose our goddamn minds.

We put 18” Blizzak on our Premium over here near Leavenworth. No problem on mountain roads and back roads

Seattle area GT owner here - I put on a set of snows. Relatively cheap insurance against ending up in a ditch, and, as ebponyan said above, I want to be able to avoid other drivers on I-90 spinning out at the first hint of snow! Plus, if you want to head into the mountains for some skiing (or just to drive over the pass), it saves you having to get out and put on chains. Totally worth it.

Regular GT as well, the All Season Continentals did pretty well actually once on the semi-plowed roads, I got auto socks to supplement getting in and out of our hilly neighborhood. Admittedly I completely avoid the roads when its icy, so a set of proper winters would probably do well if you plan to be driving a bit in poor conditions.

Worst case, you wear your snow tires during winter. Even if you don’t benefit from the traction, it makes your summer tires last that much longer. The money is a wash as money spent on snow tires is money not spent on more summer tires. It’s just front loading the cost.
