Hello All,
Ive noticed that my max charging when less than 80% is limited to 84kw/h. My car is now fully updated to 2.3.0 (and all modules are updated via FDRS).
I have noticed that post 80% charging rate is 40kw/h, which is better than pre-1.7.1.
I have tried charging at multiple EA stations, that I know have given me 100kw/h+ rates earlier.
Is anyone else seeing a worse charge curve at %ages lower than 80?

I dont know how any dealer can debug this, given that none of them have fast charging in-house.

Iā€™ve got 1.7.1 too. The car DC charges slower if the battery is cold. I charged yesterday at an EA 350 kW station. I turned the car completely off (to turn off the HVAC as Ford recommends). It started at about 80 kW at 17% SOC. Then by about 15 minutes later the speed had ramped up to over 100 kW. It was 29F outside. Iā€™d been driving on the expressway at 70 mph, which is not really enough to get the battery really warm.

This session was 30 minutes and 28 seconds. Only needed 65% to get home.

I'm in CA, where temps today were around 60F. Would you still recommend that I drive a while to get the battery warm? Is there something that reports battery temperature via Forscan or FDRS?

I'm gonna have to disagree to an extent with the cold comment regarding DCFC. Yesterday I drove to snowy lake Tahoe and used the EA DCFC on South Shore. I charged at 143 kWh under 80% and it was sub freezing. Doing the math on the below image gives us an average of 130kWh

Have you tried a different station?

As @hybrid2bev stated, driving at 70 isn't warming the battery enough. You can see temps with an OBD reader and multiple apps.

Standard or extended range pack? SR will charge slower.

The car will run the heater to warm the battery as you charge unless you're running the heater in the car then it will prioritize cabin heat first.

Huh, I'm surprised to hear driving 70mph won't warm it up enough. I guess you gotta do some jackrabbit stop and go?

The Mach-E does not yet precondition the battery before arrival at a DC fast charger. Other EV makers do, you can Google that to learn more. Driving at a steady speed does not really stress the battery thermal management in low ambient temperatures.

When the ambient temperature is low (below freezing) Iā€™ll typically do some yo-yo driving about 10 minutes before I get to the chargers. Iā€™ll slow down and accelerate to 5 over the speed limit and repeat. Then do full 1PD regen on the exit ramp. I will only do this as traffic and weather conditions allow.

My vehicle is ER. Oct 19th is when my car updated to 1.7.1. Before that I know that my charge sessions would start at 120-130kw/h and then slow down to the 90kw/h before hitting the cliff at 80%.

Before today, Id used a couple of free charging sessions at EA during Dec/Jan on holidays, and noticed that the charging peaked in the 80kw/h range. I thought perhaps EA was limiting the free charge current, or that winter was affecting the charging.

Today being a warm (and non-free) day, I figured I should try charging. Went to one of the stations close to home, and the charging was still in the 80kw/h range. I drove to another station, about 10 miles away, and still no change.

Im guessing I need to take this to a dealer, but not sure how they would debug.

I have all the updates and saw peaks of 165 at some chargers in FL over the last few weeks. However, many seemed slow, too. I think it is variability in the EA chargers, not a change in Fordā€™s charge demand curve.
