Delete carpeted floor maps with interior protection package

Why would I purchase the interior protection package if they are deleting the carpeted floor mats? I did not add that package. I wanted to get the carpeted floor mats as standard and buy the all weather after the purchase. I get extra floor mats that way. I’m I missing something?

I guess a different question is, if you have the interior protection package, what will you do with your carpeted mats?

2021 didn’t delete and now my carpeted mats are just taking up space in my attic.

But yes, you can just buy the protection package after delivery.

Costs more from Parts. The package is $240 when ordered with the car, which removes the carpet mats (which are front only by the way), and puts liners in the front, rear, and cargo area.

When you order these parts separately, the list prices are as follows:

4pc All Weather Floor Liner - $185 MJ8Z5813300AA
Cargo area liner - $145.00 MJ8Z58047A74AA

That's a total of $330 vs. $240 above. I bought them from my dealer online, which is discounted prices, back in July and they were about $12 more than the with your car price. We bought a cancelled order and it came with the carpeted mats. I plan on putting those in the 2021 when we sell it, and use the liners in the 2022.

Based on list price, you would be paying $90 for the carpet mats ($330 to buy floor liners from Parts Department - $240 if bought with car). Are two front carpet mats worth $90? Of course if you buy the liners for a discounted price (as I did), then the carpet mats are cheaper.

And, if you buy from Parts, you can use your FordPass points (as I did). They get credited within days after you buy the vehicle.

It's cheaper to swap the mats in the factory than have unused mats taking up space in the garage

I got the protection package and they left the carpet mats in my trunk. So if you get it you get both. I got it because I always end up buying after market ones when I get a new car and the price was about the same but these are OEM.

I have new carpet floor mats that were replaced by the protection package if anyone wants them. Will part for $50 plus shipping or you pick up .

Not correct. In 2021, this was correct. In 2022, Ford has removed the carpet mats if you order the protection package.

I use the Carpet in summer. All weather Spring/Fall/Winter. Also the carpets fit over the all weather for car shows. The best feature is the cargo mat. Its durable. Anyone see the recent video of the rear seat back mats...?
