Yep, anyone can enter their guess on the arrival date of this first First Edition to a participant here.Given that on here is has been said that there is a OKTB date of 23 November I can't see that there will be any deliveries before then. I think that Ford will ship FE's to dealers before this date so they can check/PDI customers cars to get them ready for delivery. This will then take place on 23 November country wide. It will be the closest they get to a 'launch'
My theory, if I am allowed to enter, is that the first FE will be handed over at 0001 23 November 2020. I think that all dealers will be in competition with each other to deliver the 'first' so I expect them to open early to accomplish this.
There is always one party pooper. We are just having a bit of fun to fill the waiting time and to stop us going crazy. These guesses aren't allowing for snags. The regulations inspections can drag, the transport, the weather, the virus, the port, not to mention last minute line problems or quality issues found prior to transport. It's tight even for 12/31/20! I've been in Ford's process before on a new model roll out and "s" often happens coming out of Mexico.
I agree --- that is likely where the first FE will be delivered.Texas/California are major rail entry points from Mexico. Those two states have the advantage...
