Can't believe we're talking about design and made it 6 pages and no one mentioned the front end. The entire front end of gt looks so much better than the standard, but I'd have really been happy with just the fake grill part in order to break up that giant vertical sea of red. Still not as ugly as model Y front end though.

Europeans have some odd regulations ?
Having worked with various world-wide agencies, the Europeans have “Directives,” not regulations. Regulations are for the bourgeoisie Americans. ?

Yes, I know. I was being polite. ;)

Ford owns the name. They get to decide decide what’s a Mustang and what isn’t. We should be thankful they didn’t slap it on the new small truck instead. ;)

Honestly though @JoeDimwit, I almost never call it a Mustang beyond telling people the name of the car, mostly that’s to differentiate it from the coupe when I’m talking to someone not familiar with it. On the other hand, my wife, sister, and 93 year old father call it a Mustang. The single time I did insist upon calling it a Mustang was when a bystander insisted it wasn’t, that the pony emblems were fake, and that it wasn’t even a Ford. ;)

Usually when I’m asked about it it’s “Is that the new Mustang?” The car is still very rare on this island.
If I were a betting man, or a VP of marketing, I would bet that Ford transitions the mustang name to be its own brand of performance oriented cars over the next few years. It’s called the Mustang Mach E after. Similar to what dodge did with Ram a few years ago.

It would actually be a pretty smart branding move. After all, those of us that used to love 2 door mustangs but now have to put kids in the back seat, but don’t want something boring and pedestrian like a Fusion.

The reason I'm personally rather ambivalent about the Mustang branding on the MME is twofold. First, it's Ford's nameplate to use as they see fit. A bit pragmatic but true. Hopefully, they use it wisely. Second, I've never been particularly fond of muscle cars. In fact, I rather dislike them. Mustangs after 1967 have never held the slightest bit of interest to me. If in November 2019, Ford had announced an electric powertrain on the current Mustang body, we'd not be having this conversation. :)

To each their own though. Not wanting it to be called a Mustang because it's 5 doors, is quite understandable to me. Not wanting it to be called a Mustang because it doesn't have a V8 though is actively embracing cognitive dissonance. I like this car and its design, I'd have bought it almost no matter what they named it. Almost.

American regulations apply only to the proletariat.

I like the no-grill look that screams, "I'm an electric vehicle."

As said before no inside car button for the back hatch, or frunk for that matter. I do not like the fact that I have to open the door, reach down and jank the latch twice.

the little FORD logo on the outside top front windshield. Did somebody make a sturdy decail to put over it?

The armrest, I would have liked it if it could slide forwards a little.

more info on the big screen

having my km/h in the middle and not haveto kill lane centering EVERY TIME I get in the car

my music (more bass)settings are gone, even when I safe it by pushing the “1” on the door till it bleeeps

frunk devider has to go.

as said before the turning non.
Why is there a neutral? Make it like the low gear as separate button or something. And yes I like to shifts drive, park neutral. Like a speedboat ?

when I push the start bitton when home, the music keeps playing till I open the door. Somehow that feels strange to me

Is there already a roof rack option? For the skibox?

the stupid layout of green seats and the seatbelts. Just signal if a seat is take and no belt is used.

Ashtray for my e-sigar ?

Super nitpicky, but I'd like a way to route a cable out of the center console and have the slider fully closed. I use a warp charger for my OnePlus 7 Pro, and it annoys me quite a bit that I can't fully close the console due to the cord coming out.

I'd like to display speed somewhere on the big screen/nav. I tend to block driver display with my hand.

The instrument panel could use a bit of tweaking for sure.

I agree as well.

You have the United States top thank for this contribution. You're welcome. ;)

You can take the divider out though.

All annoyances.

Here's the solution for saving the stereo settings.

People have complained about opening the FRUNK. My big complaint is CLOSING the FRUNK. If you're actually using that thing, it needs to close smooth like a trunk and not rough/clunky like a hood. I can never get it closed on first attempt (slam it hard, close it soft, etc), I always have to put both hands over the latch piece on the hood and press down with my weight evenly distributed, leaving two huge hand prints on the hood that needs to be wiped off with microfiber. I mean come-on... would it have killed you for a close, and then electronic hook to grab/pull tight and latch like typical power trunks have?

Mine closes surprisingly easy. It does take 2 steps tho. Close it to engage latch, then push down on center edge and it shuts completely

Why should you have to touch the nice polished glossy side of your hood with your greasy finger-printy hands? Seems absurd to me to leave two hand prints on my hood just to use the Frunk
