Ford owns the name. They get to decide decide what’s a Mustang and what isn’t. We should be thankful they didn’t slap it on the new small truck instead. ;)

Honestly though @JoeDimwit, I almost never call it a Mustang beyond telling people the name of the car, mostly that’s to differentiate it from the coupe when I’m talking to someone not familiar with it. On the other hand, my wife, sister, and 93 year old father call it a Mustang. The single time I did insist upon calling it a Mustang was when a bystander insisted it wasn’t, that the pony emblems were fake, and that it wasn’t even a Ford. ;)
I call it a Mustang, because you have to call it something, and Mach-E is nonsense. I mean, seriously - what is a "Mach-E" supposed to even be? At least mustang is an actual word - horse, fighter-bomber, whatever.

So for me, it's just a Mustang.

Findings:
82F outside according to actual thermometer got to 105ish I'm the car then I got tired of waiting. Car on and ready, auto set to triple, temp to low...

Hitting max causes a slight but noticeable increase in fan speed and recirc commanded on. Now maybe the increase in air flow is because the recirc door closed but it happened instantly and I doubt the door closes that fast.

BUT! Went on my way, left it set to auto 67 degrees, cabin cooled off. Was playing with it again at a stop light. This time 3 light auto on "low" temp had a higher fan speed than switching to max a/c. Like more than a slight difference.

Conclusion: ?

I'm good with opening it. But I can never get it to latched closed on the first try .... usually takes at least three tries
if you press directly over the latching mechanism it seems to work best.... if you miss, it flexes the door quite a bit.... The charge port door and hinge could use some beefing up. Probably need to be either stronger, or flexible enough to handle reasonable 'brush by' from a person walking between cars, or a light box or ball or whatever dropped on it.


That does remind me one one additional big gripe though... that being the super flimsy thumb latch on the mobile charger handle. I had mine break off the first time I dropped the handle off the hook where I hang it when not in use in my garage.

It is a poor choice of material, and thin section moulding on a piece that SHOULD last the life of the car being dropped repeatedly from 4' off a concrete floor as part of normal use.

No remote opening of the frunk......
Should have the same kick to open as the rear liftgate !
Remote opening of frunk has the hardware installed ... just waiting on software (OTA) to re-enable it. So there's some good news. (Although it just releases the hood... you still have to lift it.)

2. A glass roof that opens
3. A different material besides the Miko inserts on the GT seats or at least an insert that has more contrast.
4. A second key fob until the Paak works consistently
5. Knobs for temperature controls

A factory/Dealer tow package. Even if just for bike racks and a tow rating of 1000 lb. I had a crappy low tow rating on my Honda Crosstour at 1500 lb but I could install the wiring harness and hitch which I did do. Hitch for the bike rack and then I needed to tow a trailer once so the wiring harness was cheap add.

A easy access button for the rear hatch.
A power front seat that I can raise and lower the font and rear of it independently instead of raising the entire seat as one unit.

remote start from the keyfob.

Cooled vent seats.


A nice to have and I would of even been willing to pay for it. Power adjustable steering wheel with memory as my wife and I have very different setting there. It was really cool in a Ford Edge that we rent once.

Or how about make the same tow package Ford has in Europe available in the US.

- I wish the mood lighting on the Premium was brighter. Bet you did not know the car had mood lighting. :)
- Just today noticed the battery symbol on screen shows half full when the car was 90% charged.:rolleyes:
You might already know, but when you select your ambient lighting color you can hold your finger on the color and then it turns into a slider to adjust the brightness.

2. A better display for the EV driver:
2A. Show a minimum and maximum range indication, not just nominal
2B. Show current KW usage, including regen and charging KW
2C. Provide a trend vector for range, based on current driving conditions
2D. Provide an indication when regen is active
3. Provide a setting for regen strength
4. A temperature display of actual outside ambient temperature

Both features are already available. You just purchased the wrong model. You should have purchased the F150 Lightning if you need to haul stuff and require a heavy-duty, steel-reinforced center arm rest ?????

Mustangs are “sports cars” not “work vehicles” ???

Are you sure you are not looking at the battery indicator for your phone? It is displayed on the screen.
