I'd love it if the glass roof came forward more like the Lucid Air so the driver could enjoy it more.
For what it cost the shifter knob should have been metal
The windshield wiper wand is not intuitive to me
The front pony should light up on all models
I think the back pony would have looked better with the silver ring around and the flag behind
A physical trunk open/close button near the frunk release
Knobs for climate controls

1. Frunk: Cannot open it with key fob as I approach the car. I cannot open it from inside the car without opening the drivers door. It is not easy to close. The divider is not easily removed and reinstalled for those times when you want it or don't want it.

2. Trunk: No button inside the vehicle - have to dive into the menu just to open it.

3. Pano Roof: Why doesn't it have a power shade? The sun is kinda hot here in NM!

4. The F$#$ing Horn: Why? ? Ford you have an External speaker!!! Why cant I get out of my car to go to the mailbox without the car waking the entire neighborhood? Why cant I get in and start my car before I unplug without waking the entire neighborhood. Why do I have to disable the audible lock so that I don't wake the neighborhood when I lock the car.... I am just going to assume that there must be a NHTSA regulation prohibiting the external speakers use for anything other than what it's intended for.

5. No "Man-spreading" allowed: That tablet stuck on the dash digging into my knee is annoying.

6. I am not a child: I don't need the car to tell me to "Obey traffic laws" every time I put in a destination. Even children that just got their drivers license knows this! As an adult I know this!

7. Basic EV data missing: Charge rate, regen rate, energy use, live/active driving efficiency, temperatures, etc.

8. Bicycle tires: Unnecessarily small tires. The GT has wider tires and gets the same range. This is one area of cost cutting that was unnecessary.

9. Arbitrary fast charging restrictions: The fast charging restrictions are not based on actual temp or functionality restrictions... they are just there as a catch all rather that being implemented when the car has determined that it's needed.

10. Custom Drive mode: I like the regen of Whisper, the responsive pedal from unbridled and the lighter steering feel from engage.

11. Trampoline suspension: On certain roads the suspension feels as though I am sitting on a trampoline while kids are jumping on it.

12. Did I mention the Horn?

1. No charge data when you are charging. You have to go into the settings to see what is happening. When charging this should be on screen more easily.
2. No regen info.
3. Navigation settings not in the settings page. Doesn’t make sense to split any settings out of that main settings menu. At the least have the two accessible from the two locations.
4. Frunk can’t open with key or screen.
5. I hate the gear selector, however I will get use to it.
6. No power boot/trunk it’s a technical car that should have this.
7. The AC auto button should also have off as one of the levels it cycles through.
8. When you are charging for an hour wish I could cast my iPhone to the massive screen. If the handbrake is on then there isn’t a safety issue.

Most of these can be added an update hopefully.

@TJ-Mach-e all valid complaints. #7 is a big one for me and I very much would like to see that info. #8 I saw my wife drive away in the MME the other day, and those tires do look wimpy lol. I know what you mean on #11. Our other car is a Lexus RX. The MME handles like a race car in comparison even with the wimpy tires, and soaks up bumps nearly as well. No, none of that trampoline feeling in the Lexus, but to me the MME is a good compromise to allow for a bit of fun in the twisties.

Sure! Actually, I'd prefer buttons the size of the parking assist buttons. I don't understand why gear shifting needs to be so prominent anyway. It seems like a holdover from manual transmission vehicles.
My wife is ADHD, she is always fiddling with stuff. Several times she has done one of these:
turn the gear shift while I'm driving
push/pull the parking brake while I'm driving
and once she pushed the self-park button while I was driving.

I wish all of those buttons/knobs on the console were not so prominent ?

That said, I HATED the gear shift buttons on my Clarity, except the pull-up reverse that I could find by feel. At least on the MME, if you want to shift to drive, you can spin as far as you want and it does not go past D.

I understand ? but I have absolutely nothing with the Ford brand being a Saab fan has me put Ford in the GM corner…, but I love my Mach-e. (Yes it has the quirks mentioned above) I will just have to find one of those oval “stickers” with a mustang pony on it. Or back ops.

I would add in addition to a rear hatch and frunk button to home screen maybe a voice command "Okay Ford....open rear hatch or open frunk" I would also add a obvious way on Ford Pass app to see your car is locked or unlocked since walk away lock doesn't work every time. Many times i get in a store and get concerned did the car lock. Would like to open app and have it show me its locked or unlocked.

I am not a fan of the rotary gear selector. Something like in the F150 Lightning is more to my taste. Just my opinion.

Those of us who are bothered by the lack of charging info need to escalate this. I'm going to send a physical letter to Ford HQ to escalate this. We have to do this now while Ford still holds our interest. In 3 years Ford will be on the next new latest thing. I can tell you it will become really really annoying over time. It took some serious threats before BMW changed their software on the I3.

I know it's an inelegant workaround, but you can get some of the active charging data in the car with a $20 OBD2 device and a cell phone with something like the free CarScanner app. I've only just started playing with the one I got, and I use an old retired cell phone because it ties up the communications with it's own wifi connection. But that was all doable, and cheap. I just need to figure out the settings and learn how to read the data. It connected easily though.

There's another thread with more details.

A "physical letter" is such a cute term!
