Clickbait crap. The Mach-E roof doesn't let heat in. You can also edit your original post, put in the right link to the clickbait, and delete your 2nd post.

My concern has nothing to do with heat, just weight. I already knew heat wasn’t an issue by the time order banks opened up for GTs. 😊🐩

I was nervous about too much heat or light getting in and giving me a headache but I have to say they did a great job with it. It hardly lets in either but still is nice to look out and makes the cabin seem much roomier. I thought I was going to need to add ceramic tint to it but I'm just going to leave it how it is.

Before I received the car I was worried I'd need to buy a sunshade for the glass roof. But after a few weeks of extreme heatwave here in the Northeast, I never noticed any kind of warming or sun problems. I love it. It probably weighs a ton and impacts range to some small extent, but for me that's an easy tradeoff.

Edit: just to add, I like it the most in the rain and at night. I'd imagine it's especially nice if you ever camp/sleep in the car.

What is the weight delta between the glass and metal roof?

Exactly. Drive around it in direct sun in Florida and sometimes forget it’s there.
That is actually a bit of a disappointment for me personally. We got the premium for other features, it was the one we could get with an extended range battery at the time, etc. and the glass roof was just a bonus.

But I barely even notice the roof. Good as it isn't shining in my eyes or letting heat in, bad as the thought of it is cool. I think people in the back seat probably enjoy it more.

Why oh why couldn't they have it extend all the way forward so I could enjoy it in the front seat. ;) (being funny, I know the cross beam there is likely for safety, allows for the buttons and stuff up there, etc.).

A glass roof is a non-issue (mostly) in Florida.

My concern was long-term reliability of it. It will be prone to chips and cracks. And costs.

I'd love for a BlueCruise Premium or GT without the glass roof.

I do wish it actually tilts and slides open, which allows much better airflow into the cabin if it simply tilts up and greatly reduces fogging without turning on the climate control.

What I do love about having the glass roof is the ease of regular maintenance washes. Saved a lot of elbow grease when I did the ceramic coating. Just make sure you don't let hard water spots form on it.

It is not huge, but it’s up high. I haven’t seen anything posted by Ford as to the difference. Someone posted a number that I don’t think is accurate so I am not repeating it. 🤷‍♂️🐩

I have been known to hollow out bolt heads, so… Yeah, I am weird. 🤪🐩

I was hoping I could order my GT-PE with Co-Pilot 360/Active 2.0, but it was not to be since I wanted a metal roof. I wanted Magneride more than the camera package. The original 2021 GT (non-PE) order form had the Active package available with a metal roof. 🤷‍♂️🐩
