Jonathan,

I have a lot of questions regarding the use of the Ford options plan and what credits will I be eligible for in CA. Can you send me a hyperlink to the calculator you are using in your screenshot? I would like to give my dealership a heads up that I would like to use CX plan pricing along with the Ford options plan when my car becomes available so i don't have to relive a similar bad experience like this one.
Rohan - I am in CA and purchased in Feb using X Plan and Options. Not sure if you have in writing from your dealer or not when you ordered, but I had in writing acceptance of X Plan and no ADM.
I received the following incentives / rebates:
X Plan

Options 2.25% and $2500 incentive (this is from Ford credit directly based on top credit and could vary by date you take delivery)

Clean Fuel Rebate of $1500 - this is deducted off invoice at time of purchase. Check out www.cleanfuelreward.com. Your dealer must be registered to receive, and you can see if they are or not. If not, get them to register before you take delivery. No cost to dealer.

CVRP rebate of $2000 - you apply for this after taking delivery and the state will send you a check in a few months - www.cleanvehiclerebate.org. You should check out this site as there are potentially other incentives based on your income.

These are in addition to the $7500 Federal Tax credit (again, based on your total federal tax liability - if your total tax is less than $7500, you will be limited to the amount of your tax amount).

That calculator looks a lot better, although bummer on the 2.7%.

Ford could make itself more available so buyers can get the information they need from a reliable source. Hybrid is great and all but I bet a lot of buyers just walk in and WTF is going on here, and have no idea what to do.

And apparently, neither do the dealers. None of this, really, helps anyone, not the customer, not Ford, and not even the dealer who looks like they can't tie their shoes or lie about everything.

Glad it's worked out though.

I happened to take a screenshot of the purchase calculator when it showed 1.4% for 2021 GT/GTPE models. For reference, that Program Number is #21276. That should be good until Nov 1, 2021.

My dealer has confirmed that there will no ADM charge and he has also confirmed the availability of the X plan pricing last week. I was curious to know how much the X plan knocked off your marked price?

The clean fuel rebate should be knocked down to $750 around the time I take delivery but I should be able to get CVRP and San Joaquin clean air rebates. Also don't see any issues on the federal rebates whether for 2021 or 2022 in case of production delays.

What determines whether the Ford Options plan knocks off $1000 or $2500 off the purchase price? It make sense for me toe explore it at the higher rebate point but the difference in interest rates especially if Ford can offer a 0.9% rate will make this plan not as tempting as it originally seemed.

I'm Jonathan but I think you were replying to {Jonathan} @JonathanEzor. ???

You can get to this calculator by going to the 2022 Mustang Mach-E page on Ford's website and begin doing your own vehicle build. There is a calculator finance option once you get far enough along.

I don't think the calculator option is available anymore for 2021 model year. The interest rates etc may be different on them.
Thanks (other) Jonathan I was able to find the calculator. I will try to confirm the numbers with my dealership once my vehicle goes into production next week.

The Options bonus cash amount is determined by your ZIP code. It generally seems to go by state, and CA is one of the high dollar states.

Thanks Mike, do you know where I can check on that specifically by entering my zip (95355)?

Rohan - like Mike said in a later post, it is determined by your zip code. It is a promotion by Ford and could possibly change when you take delivery. It's on the Ford site, but not sure exact location, although I'm sure @hybrid2bev can help.

I don't remember the exact $ amount the X plan knocked off of my FE, but I think it was just short of $1k.

When you select the dealer in the build process on ford.com it will populate the available incentives. At least it did for me about a half hour ago when I tried it.

I want to believe these types of issues are honest dealer errors, but given the number of deals they do verses any of us as a buyer and the fact similar issues come across at multiple dealers the honest mistake theory begins to strain credibility.

My advice is before you pick up your car, make sure to do _all_ the math and be prepared to do it on the fly again at the dealer when they throw you curve balls. No hostility - just the facts and figures. And, even if you don't want to use the Ford web site to complete the purchase process, take the process on the website as far as you can without committing so you can see how the numbers work out from Ford (particularly the purchase price, which will show your credit for the deposit).

When I went to pick up my MME GT, the issues I had to deal with were:
- Claim my Z plan PIN was expired because it had April expiration date (well, that was April 2022 sir)
- Initial estimated payments through the roof for a finance option. Pointed out what I expected - was asked what interest rate I had used. I was using 2.5% they were using 9%. Well, guess what, 9% was way too high to be realistic.
- Deposit - what deposit? Yes, sir, a $500 ordering deposit was required to order the car. They didn't credit me for this initially - but when I followed up with the finance manager and the customer care manager, it was found and credited back to my card (because "my email didn't match" - hmm, but they were willing to let me buy the car that they agreed I had ordered).

Total time at dealer to buy my car - 4 hours (UGH!) Every time I get stuck in the finance manager's office to close the deal, I am reminded this is mortality I will never get back.

Good luck all and trust, but verify!

Thanks for sharing the Ford Options paperwork...The no pre-payment penalty looks great and tempting to just go with that to get the 2500 discount. In my zip, it's 2.7% and -2500 currently.

Can’t sleep thinking about my gameplan for my appointment in the morning. Should I be concerned that the lender name in the contract is NOT “Ford Credit” and is instead some unkown LLC? My instinct tells me they are trying to use one of their lenders instead of Ford Credit but they were adamant “it’s the same thing”.
