Do we now need to see the dealer to continue the order process?

My wife and I placed orders for 2 Mach E's Sunday night. The dealer sent a text this morning indicating that we need to see him. We've been there. Is there more to placing an order than the on-line order? Are we going to hear that he needs more money than MSRP?

The dealer should be able to handle absolutely everything online and there really shouldn't be a need to have you in there unless they just want to make sure all your options are accounted for.

How long does the status typically take to go from Order Sent to Dealer to Order Accepted by Dealer?

I ordered on 4/30 and my salesman even saw it in the system, but it's still showing Order Sent to Dealer

I can’t speak for all orders, but mine was less than 2 hours. That said, my order was for a GT-PE on the first day of GT orders, so there may have been special circumstances involved.

My order was converted over almost instantly. The sales guy originally said it could take a few hours before they see it in their system.

My process:
Visited dealer and did the test drive
Left and chatted over the next few days due to Ford suspending new reservations
Made reservation online
Dealer converted within minutes
Called the sales guy to let him know I did order and that it was accepted
Now a lot of waiting

My order was on a Friday, didn't get accepted until the Online Sales Mgr was back to work on Monday.

I ordered mine on May 1 but the order status page still shows that it hasn't been accepted by the dealer. My dealer told me there is nothing he needs to do on his end but wait until they build it. Hmmm...

My dealer placed my order on 4/27 and my online Ford Account still just says "See Dealer" and won't let me look any further. A bit annoying, but whatever. I just want a place to obsessively check every day to see if the meter has moved at all, kind of like tracking a package on FedEx

I haven't asked for a refund. I figured I'd give him a few days and then push again. It doesn't sound right to me. I'd expect to see a green check mark next to "Order accepted by dealer" if he'd truly accepted it and put the order in.

I'm waiting for the 'accepted' check too. Do they actually have to do something to toggle that, or is it just a satisfier for the shopper?

The dealer has to accept the order. Mine was accepted less than 24 hours after I placed the order.
My salesman knew it was coming since I discussed the car with him before I placed the order.
