I was originally pretty set on a first edition, to the extent that I was actively ignoring other similarly built premium trims. Yesterday I found a dealer 100 miles away that had a first edition in stock and would sell it for msrp (just over $59k). But as luck would have it, I browsed this thread and started getting second thoughts.
I wound up going with another dealer that had a premium trim on order and was honoring X plan pricing. I would have to wait a few weeks, but the cost savings ($4k including the markdown with X plan) was worth it for me.
If Ford had given the first edition anything else - slightly more HP, larger wheels, etc...I probably would have pulled the trigger. But for the minor cosmetic changes it didn't seem worth it in the end.
