Phone only and I have never had an issue but my wife who has a new iphone said she had issues and deleted it from Bluetooth and only uses the fob. I did have a hell of a time setting both phones up and I’m not going through the hassle to set her up again.

Phone. I've had to use the backup code a couple of times, but that has worked fine as well and phone is reconnected by the time I arrive.

Can't tell you how many times I'd forget the fob in my previous car. I'd get everything together, make my way to the garage. Put by backpack in the trunk. Sit down in the drivers side. Press the start button and...nothing. Back up stairs, get the key, etc. I've never forgotten my phone. Don't even carry a wallet anymore - that's all NFC payment too.

i've only ever used PAAK. It does behave a bit unpredictably but has not left me stranded yet

I have used the phone 70% and fob 30%. The phone is not 100% reliable but I keep giving it a chance. I use the fob when don't feel like being delayed in my travels.

Tried PaaK for one day and it acted wonky, so I deleted it. The fob has been flawless thus far, but I do plan on going back to PaaK once I've read from others that the kinks have been worked out.

Fob only, PaaK has not appeared on the app since delivery, never setup. If I do see PaaK, and set it up, will having fob and phone present cause issues? After a month of PaaK not even showing in the app, I am reluctant to trust the feature at all.

I’ve only been using PaaK. It sometimes won’t unlock the car when I approach but if I grab my phone and unlock it, it’s often enough to create the link.

My sense from these misfires is that it is not solely a FordPass app issue. I think iOS (and I would assume Android) have their own way of managing app resources on a phone and maybe the phone’s operating system is forcing the app into a deep sleep or something if not used recently. I never seem to have a PaaK failure if I recently had FordPass open before going outside.
