Picked up our Select C/T RWD SR in December and have been loving it during the cooler temps in PHX this time of year.

Looking to the summer, I am seeing some threads about keeping the car cool in the 100+ temps.

The question is: Will the car cool using remote start in a parking lot during the mid-day in the summer? Or does it take time driving it around to cool it down?

Car is garaged at home with L2 charger, so not concerned about leaving the house, but my wife leaves work by 1pm, one of the hottest times of the day. Windows have tint added and we would of course use a windshield shade. No glass roof on ours.

Our Honda Odyssey has remote start and with some time will cool the interior enough to make it tolerable even in the heat. Wondering what experience everyone has leading up to the hot days ahead.

If you remote start it will cool down or heat up if it's winter

Thanks, I understand the car will try to cool, but asking if anyone has experience whether the cooling is efficient enough to cool the car while stationary in 110F in a parking lot in the AZ summer?

This is a struggle for many ICE cars in AZ, wondering if the BEV is better or worse :)

Yes, many people in AZ, Florida, Texas, etc. have posted that there's no issue.

Yes, I remote start mine all the time in the summer. The beauty of BEV is that you can remote start or set a departure time while it is parked in the garage, too.

Awesome, thanks.

Agreed on the remote start/departure in the garage. This has been really nice this winter in our "frigid" Arizona temps :)
