Door not closing completely

My wife noticed the left rear door wasn't closed completely and tried opening and closing a few times but that didn't work. I took a look at it and noticed the striker plate was loose. There were scratches/witness marks in the paint showing it's original placement so I moved it back and tightened it up. Will have to touch up the paint damage from the loose plate. Hopefully my touch up pen arrives soon (been a few weeks already....)

In case anyone else ends up with loose fasteners....the bit size is T-40.

Sometimes it’s easier to tighten a couple bolts than to take a trip to the dealer.

Absolutely a warranty item. Would you have taken it back for something like that? If so, that is totally okay of course. For me, my time is more important than having someone else fix something so minor. 5 minutes to fix myself or leave the car at the dealership for an entire day and drive a loaner ICE. No thank you. I much prefer grabbing a wrench vs pumping gasoline. The paint chip is easily fixable also. I have dozens of paint chips on the nose already so it doesn't bother me that much.

Also good to check the wheel lug nut torque. The dealer has to remove the wheels as part of the prep for delivery and most times they fail to retorque back to 150 ft lbs. My wheels were at 75 ft lbs when I took delivery.
