Door pockets. Useless waste of space.

I'd really like very much if manufacturers would stop using this 3 or 4 inches to make it more difficult to get my size 12 shoes into and out of a vehicle.

They're too big, not often used, get in the way.

That's pretty insulting. I'm making a real-world observation and this discussion has been civil til now.

The amount of nit picking of tiny details about this car is simply amazing.

If we don't, Ford will think it's perfect.

It is not. No car is. We're observing and reporting.

I get in and out with size 15s without it looking like Bigfoot wiped his ass with the door.

And I store all kinds of things in there like an umbrella, chemical guys cleaners, microfiber cloths. And an occasional bottle of water. I like the doors.

Somehow I'm able to get out of the car with size 12 shoes without scuffing the door. I'm thinking that it's not Ford that is imperfect here.

Mach-E tip #127: People with big feet need to open the doors all the way when entering/exiting the vehicle.
My garage is not big enough, I would hit my wife's car if I opened the door all the way. ?‍♂

I’m 6’1” and don’t quite get that level of scuffing, but I understand the complaint. I tried putting a larger (standard sized — bigger than TSA size) hand sanitizer in there and … doesn’t really work. I’m not sure just what use it can be. Maybe hiding a wallet? Looks useful though. ;)

There we’re back on track in the thread now.

My paws have no issues with the pockets. I may steal the carbon fiber-look vinyl idea though. ??

Works perfect to store the stupid masks I have to wear at work and my microfiber towel to dry the car.

I Don’t know man.… my drugs and guns fit perfectly in those spaces. The other day officer Davis complimented me on how easy it was to locate my contraband and was thankful for Ford for the convenience. A+

I think what some people are trying to express is this observation is a preference not a design or technical flaw. Though you may not like it others appear to. Personally I am just waiting on my car with bated breath, lol.
