Maybe someday, but likely you'll get flat bedded to the closest DC charger.
Or that portable EV charging battery that's been mentioned on an old thread on here and someone (Jalopnik I think?) just learned about today.

In three Years, our 18 Platinum F150 will be replaced by one of these PowerBoost F150s! Living on the Coast, it will replace our aging Standby Generator!
You mean one of these. It's amazing, 7,200 watts with a 240v 30a in the box. Will put out 7,200 watts for 32 straight hours, or 2,400 watts for 85 hours

That feels like a definite stop-gap before BEVs with bidirectional charging.

Once all EVs have bidirectional charging, there'll be no reason to bother with a hybrid like that.

Ok folks you are under NDA here, so you can't use my idea :)

"Mobile DCFC Service Trucks" for stranded EV drivers? Forget about the technical aspect of this, let that go.

What ya think folks, do I have something here?

This is designed for the contractor that needs power at the job site. You're not taking your BEV to the job site to power up equipment.

I believe CAA has those already, maybe they also have in the US with AAA.

Anyone tried using a Honda i2000 generator to charge an EV? It would be slow but if you only needed 2-3 miles to get home or to a charger, it may be enough.

Charging from generators often has grounding issues. There are ways to make it work, but it’s often not as straightforward as you would think.
