It looks like EA is going to try to plug some of the charging deserts in the upper midwest. From their "our plan" tab on the website the cycle 3 investment plan has the following tables/diagrams highlighting the routes they plan to try to fill in:

Crazy, WV still will have no EA stations. Someone's bitter...

I hope we get a station or two soon enough in Beckley or something to make the NC to MI/OH/PA/western NY run easier.

No love for Michigan's UP or the Dakota's for that matter either.
Although ND/SD are not mentioned by name, it looks like they are going to put stations on I-90 and I-94 between MN and MT, which would necessarily go through the Dakotas.

I-68 from DC to Morgantown WV is slated for 2 stations, but who knows where they'll put them. I strongly suspect that it is not EA who's the problem. WV is enamored with the idea of turning back the clock to when coal was king, so anything "green" is by definition a thing to be avoided - even though BEV's open a new market for coal powered electricity.

No love for Michigan's UP or the Dakota's for that matter either.
I-90 through SD and I-94 through ND are both slated to get coverage for the routes from MN to MT. The UP is indeed being treated like an isolated island chain, though ;)

That's 2 for I70 and I68. It's not clear to me if that includes the EA station in Hagerstown, but the route badly needs fast charging in Cumberland.

Oh, clearly WV is as bad a charging desert as ND and SD - only smaller. Just pointing out that EA might be putting an oasis on the edge of that desert, which is at least a start.

EA has indicated one may be in the La Vale Walmart just west of Cumberland.

That makes sense considering Tesla has a Supercharger station at the Sheetz in La Vale. Can I ask where you heard this? I haven't read that before.
