They did it. Finally lined them up.
Pretty much exactly what I expected:

GTPE beats it off the line then loses by a couple cars at the 1/4 mile.

It was nice to see what the difference is visually. It wasn't a huge difference at the end of the track but yes, the Y got there first every time.

Both of the drivers favored the E for styling and fun, but it just didn't win.

It won, for about exactly 5 seconds…..

That looks like less than a 1/4. They are both finishing in around 11 seconds from looking at the times on the video.

If drivers start exactly the same the GTPE will lose to 60. Slow reaction of the Y shows the Mach E out front.

That’s about 1000’ race, expect worse in the 1/4. Like 5-6 cars at least.

From 3:45 in the video, “that 1/4 mile run ate up about 5 miles of juice….”

It was a 1/4 mile.

Possibly, and if so the Mach E jumped or Tesla was sleeping as the gap at the end of the 1/4 from 11.8 to 12.4 is a lot more then the video

You can do the math.

Convert mph to fps then multiply by 0.6 seconds.

But that also likely wasn’t an 11.8 run in the video. You can bench race all day long, but it doesn’t always work that way when you line cars up and race.

Bench racing the Y should win to 60. Didn’t happen in the video.

0-60 is time to speed.
A race is time to distance.

I.e. you can have a slower 0-60 time but still win a race to 60 by having a quicker 0-30 or 0-40.
