I installed the front bar yesterday. The clunking and creaking noises are gone. Here are a few pictures. I need to point out that if you are like me, and threw away the stock end links, make sure you get the right nuts. The Steeda nuts do NOT fit the OEM links. I forgot about that and was ready to attach them when I realized I didn't have the right sized nuts.

I had to order new OEM end links. Which is great, because now I know I have new parts in that part of the suspension.

Bar installed at the stiffest setting:

The clearance concerns me, but this probably means I don't need to worry about the bar rubbing on the half shafts.

I loaded up the bar with the grease @markboris recommended, but is no longer available. It was a little messy. I positioned the bar all the way towards the front of the car, because when positioned towards the rear, it was close to hitting the motor insulation.

I had to run out to Lowe's to get four M12-1.25 nuts because I didn't remember that the Steeda end links used a different nut. And of course I threw away the OEM nuts. @HuntingPudel told me I should add some green Loctite and that will prevent the nuts from coming off if they loosen. Or I could order the Ford nuts. Actually, it was soooo much easier to put the non-locking nuts on, I would rather just put the green Loctite on there and call it a day.

I love how much better the car drives now. It is quieter and smoother. The bounce is the same, but it definitely is an improvement over the Steeda front bar.

I still have the Steeda rear bar on the car.
LOL I threw out my stock end links too. Now I just need to remember where I put the stupid new ones I bought. ??

Hey Mike, you don't have to worry about the clearance at the end of the bar. It's the same as the OEM bar was so there won't be any issue. Also, a little earlier in this thread I posted the green grease I've been using: #23

Mark, I was referring to the Polybushings lube you previously mentioned was so awesome.

I checked and maybe it is available again? It is on their website:
https://polybushings.com/pages/bushinglube.html

I have the Green Grease also, but I didn't use that for this.

Mike, it's no longer available and Johnny has not updated his site. It was made by a company for Johnny and that company sold to another one and they will no longer sell it to him. That is why I started using the Green Grease. I had many containers of the poly lube and used
to use it on installs here at my house for members and friends and also give it away. Never thought it would no longer be available otherwise I would have kept it for myself. ?

I was using a blue high-temp marine grease for decades on suspension bearings. I switched to the same green grease when they stopped making the blue. They are nearly functionally identical so I don’t expect any weirdness with the switch. I even mixed them a little on my MME since I ran out of the blue stuff on the MME. ??

I have had the front bar on for a while now, and I really, really like it. I love how flat the car is.

I guess if you are going to be driving on a track, or a course where you push the car to its limits, the bar may be too stiff. For normal driving like I do, it is great. In fact, I have pushed it really hard and while it does tend to plow, when I lift off the go-pedal the rear shifts around and keeps the car straight. To me it is perfect. To eek out another second in the lap you might want the car to be less flat, but that is not how I drive on public roads.

This bar provides a great improvement in daily driving IMO.

As Mike said above, replacing the stock sway bars with stiffer aftermarket bars transforms the handling of the car in a very good way. Mike, Steve, John, Anton, I and many others changed out our sway bars more than a year ago and have enjoyed the much improved handling and ride of our cars. Arguably one of the best mods you can do to the Mach-E.

I agree. This is the best and easiest mod you can do to improve driving quality. Anyone who is handy can change out the bars in a Saturday afternoon. I know, because I did it. If you are worried about it, we can help you. Or you can pay someone to do it, of course. But it isn't hard.

BTW - the rear bar is harder to replace than the front bar. The front bar is really easy, IMO. Especially with the Eibach bar because it uses the stock end links.

Unless you’re like me and threw away the end links and nuts when you put the Steedas in, ordered a new set of links and nuts, then proceeded to forget where he put them and what they smelled like. Spending more time looking for that stuff than I will in swapping the bar. ?‍♂?

I keep forgetting it's "cold" out (in the 50's) and continuously keep over driving my stock Conti's at about 40 psi when 'warmed'. Because it stays so flat I try to match the flatness with a flat to the floor pedal.

Yeah, I threw mine away also. Oh well. Brand new end links are a good thing!

Reviving an old post, but I just ordered my set today! There is a very fun road between my house and my sisters, I used to rip it with my GTI. Tried to rip it with the CR1 the other day, not as much fun.. After reading everything in the thread, this should be a killer upgrade for the price / amount it changes. Plus, the swaybar install looks easier than most cars, so that's awesome.

Hey Aaron, there have been quite a few members I personally know that have installed these but not all of them post about it. I can say you are correct in that it’s an inexpensive mod/upgrade for what you get in return. I’m sure you will enjoy them and if you’re not hell bent on getting the utmost in range, I’d suggest when it’s time to replace your tires to get more performance oriented ones.

You are going to love the difference these bars make! I agree with Mark, it is a huge bang for the buck.

BTW - I have always been handy, but never before have I done so much to a car. The sway bar job was very intimidating to me, and it took all afternoon to replace both, but it was fairly easy. The front is easier than the rear. The second time I replaced the front, I didn't even remove the undercarriage cover.

Ugh I'm already excited enough. For tires, are you guys sticking with Low-Rolling resistance tires? I wasn't sure if there was a performance platform for those
