Does anyone know if there's any product out there that would be compatible with the Mach-E that would allow us to pop the frunk automatically?

Teslas have a kit (linked below) that is somewhat easy to install and it got me curious if there's something similar for our cars.

I'm one of the few people that actually uses the frunk on a regular basis and something like this would be great. Is it even possible? maybe someone that has already taken the front assembly apart can provide insights?

I had no idea a kit existed for Tesla. This would be amazing for MME!
Like you, I use the hell out the frunk. Switching to the Lightning keyfob was a game changer - it's not exaggerating to say that everything that can go in the frunk does go in it. Groceries, takeout, luggage, board games. I guess round pizzas are about the only thing that consistently rides in back.
Well, aside from the dog of course (musn't encroach on his domain?).

I have looked for this before and couldn’t find anything yet for the Mach E. I would absolutely install such a kit if one was offered!

I guess I’m confused as to what is being asked for here. You can pop your trunk ‘automatically’ via the FordPass app. I do it all the time.

When I worked with Autoease to create the trunk aftermarket liftgate we talked about the frunk as well. Not impossible, but decided the effort wasn’t worth the time and R&D. Need to have at least 25 people who are interested and willing to pay to cover initial investment and that’s tough.

I actually use the frunk a lot... and find that the door B Pillar code is very efficient for me to open it. Even better than opening the driver's door and pulling the mechanical lever twice. Not sure how a power frunk could improve this by much.

All this would do is allow me to use the frunk without also grabbing a microfiber every time so I don’t actually touch the paint ?

Would this be possible with the MachE due to the unusual amount of force required to actually close the frunk?

Will this turn the car off after a remote start in the same way the FP app button does? It is nice to be able to dump gear in the frunk while the interior continues to be heated/cooled, which requires pushing the start button before manual frunk release.

It wasn't clear from the vid whether the Tesla had an internal frunk emergency release button/lever and I don't recall seeing it discussed. I wonder how that might play on an MME equivalent mechanism, particularly from a liability standpoint.

As for the device itself, meh. I use my frunk everyday, and sure it would be convenient to initiate a frunk open from a distance, particularly with an arm full of groceries or something, but not sure this is where I would want to invest some disposable income.
