In the Midwest and Western Pa., many Tesla locations have few customers.

And in many areas the SC's are full with lines. In this pic, the X is pulling in to make a full house. There are three in back of me waiting and we have one charger out of service. The full means we all get half charge and it's high use so Tesla automatically cuts us back to 80% charge max.

That is not the Midwest or Western Pa.

As I've said before, in nearly 3 years of ownership and visiting a myriad of SCs, I've ever had to wait. Not once.

And c'mon, you should know that even though Tesla will cut you to 80% when it's a high use charging array, you can manually raise it back to whatever you like.

Gotta believe my lying eyes. All three SC's I use are "High Usage". I often go real early to avoid the lines and to get full power.

But you apparently didn’t know you could raise the 80% level set by Tesla.

I think I mentioned that above but when it's crowded it's kind of rude to do that. I like being a Team EV player. I can charge around the corner at the EVgo for 50kW which is about all we'll get when the SC is full so I'll make room.

You didn’t mention that. What you said was this, “The full means we all get half charge and it's high use so Tesla automatically cuts us back to 80% charge max.”

There was no clarification beyond that that I saw, so it seemed apparent you didn’t realize you could override that if necessary. I do agree it’s rude if it isn’t absolutely necessary.

My friend has had a model 3 since September. He has had to wait several times. It doesn't help that three out of the six chargers have been broken for several months.

Point being, anecdotal evidence isn't the best.

Human nature. If it hasn’t happened to us, it is suspect.

That may be true, but my first-hand experience at a multitude of superchargers, show them to be more reliable than is implied here. They are far more reliable, truth be told, then the current state of Electrify America.

Tesla currently has 933 Superchargers in USA+ Canada + Mexico.
With EA being just US, and 500+ in US, you can see how close EA is in the US to providing full range service. In an interview where EA talked about changing to per kWh billing they also mentioned how Covid-19 slowed down their rollout

Electrify Canada is an extension of EA, it is basically the same company
