Ahh ok. So not for the Mach-E.

If I could suggest one other thing that might fit in with your current manufacturing process. If you made the dual Mach-E charger as a wedge instead of a flat mat. Make it higher in the back so it comes up to just above the cars USB plug module and keep the front (closest to the driver) the same height. That would angle the phone towards the driver a little more (added benefit), but it would also give you some empty space in the back. You could use that hollow space to hide the plug, USB socket, and Y all together!
That's a nice idea! Will add it on todo to experiment when I find some free time.

Sweet!
I think that would solve a few complaints (the big Y, the visible cable plugged in) and add a feature (the better viewing angle.

Totally agree. Biggest issue would be shipping...we currently ship these in very very nice flat boxes (they look like screen protector box but different size) which keep this protected. You add this new piece and then shipping becomes a head scratcher. But I will figure it out.

Sculling wonder if you could do this without making it any taller/thicker. The area where the mat sits slants inwards right? So if you shape the mat so it’s wider at the back and narrower at the front it would force it to sit at an angle with no extra support under it. Then when you take it out it would still lay flat. It would just be a parallelogram shape

I fear it will scratch the OEM plastic this way.

I could see that. Maybe if you put a thin piece of rubber around the edge. That would keep it from scratching the trim, and it would prevent it from rattling.

Decent idea! I'd need to rent a Mach-E to try it but I'd definitely try this before designing a plastic insert. Right now my schedule is very full as I just got a gen2 Rivian R1S and I am working on re-doing the products for the affected/changed panels, and then I need to finish a full wrap for the Cybertruck and then I can rent a Mach-E to try it out...perhaps a month from now.

That’s awesome! Thank you so much for considering this. If there is anything I can do to help let me know!

One other thing I’ll throw out, then I’ll quit before I start bugging you. If you put the mat at and angle and hide the USB ports, you could eliminate the Y and just plug the 2 chargers into the 2 USB ports. The drivers into the C and the passenger into the A. Alternatively if you’re worried about people being upset about losing the USB A port, you could extend that with a shirt jumper to the top of the mat. That’s less important though. I’d just say use both ports to charge.

True but that presents a new issue which I'd rather avoid - USB-A ports are not very powerful, so one puck will charge fine while the other will be super slow.
And while many savvy people would know that, the reality I face is that things need to be dumb-proof to sell on Amazon (which is an important channel for us, unfortunately) as most people on Amazon can't be bothered to read any instructions or product description, and would happily return (and we pay for shipping both ways, which for a product of that weight is about $12-$13 each way) and give you a bad review for the slightest of issues, even if it's disclaimed in the product description that this is how it will work. Mix that with the fact that happy customers mostly don't post reviews but unhappy are sure to lash out, and this essentially kills a product.
So I much prefer the Y splitter thing as it uses USB-C (more powerful) + leaves one port open. The angled thing is a good idea though, as I said previously - I'd experiment with it next time I rent a Mach-E as I am also intrigued if I can make it work well.

That makes sense. I didn’t think about the people that don’t read instructions. That’s good to know that you have to pay shipping for returns too. As a consumer I didn’t know that.
Ya the Y definitely sounds like the better option then. A USB A pass through might stave off any customer complaints.
Thank You for looking in to this!

Got mine the other day and accompanied it with a disable of the factory charger via Forscan. Love it so far!

Just got my Twrap charger. I secured the splitter, used the tiniest right angle adapter I could find and tucked the wire away a bit. Not perfect but it helps clean it up a bit.
