Exciting thought for an American who ordered a premium.

So you say 30,000 are going there reservation or not. That leaves 20,000
minus 4,000 for dealers that leaves 16,000 for USA market. So any of us
with a reservation # over 16,000 just might as well forget it this year
and then some.

While its good to plan ahead, I thinks its premature to worry about this. I would think once the 'ordering' process is opened up, we will get a better idea. If we only see EU people ordering and not anyone is US...then I would worry.

Yes we shall wait and see. But if Ford knew this they should have stopped
reservations as they did with First Edition. If our reservations were accepted
by Ford and confirmed by EMAIL to be delivered late 2020 they really look
bad not to do as they stated. You would think if Ford reads this forum they
would make a statement about this. In good faith we all put up $500.00
to reserve this Mach E. At just 16,000 Ford has $8,000,000 to do a short
term investment. Not bad FORD !!

Actually, currently, 41,000 deposits, or $20,500,000. I guess in their world, that isn't much money.

The 45k is the reservation numbers...supposedly first 4k is for the dealers for deposit wise, probably around the 40k mark.

Have Ford announced any reservation figures for Europe? I've not seen anything yet - all the stats have been based on US pre-orders.

I must admit I'm quite curious.

Yes they have. You are getting 30,000 MME. Do you think they will sell ??

So we've potentially been "allocated" 30,000 units for pre-order- but what I meant was how many orders might they have secured so far?

Like in Norway for example - have they got pre-orders for 10, 20, 100 or a 1000? wondered if anyone had seen any stats.

Will they sell? Who knows, I know in UK the price point of even the basic RWD model puts it in the luxury SUV market. That is going to limit its appeal to the masses and ultimately the uptake. That's why I'm interested in EU order stats.

I do understand your interest on how many are reserved. But you should not worry
as it has been said many many times you get 60% of the first run. I do not like this fact
but you in the EU have been allocated the 60%. I don't care if they sell or not. I am glad
for you. But here in the states we have our reservations that might not get fulfilled
because you have maybe 15K to 20K sitting on lots. I WANT all of you to get your
reservations but stop there and let us here in the states get ours. Ford MUST fill
ALL the reservations here and abroad ------THEN do their 60% from then on.
This is a launch of a new product so FORD you asked for $500.00 reservation fee
so honor this for all of us 50K customers. Then do what you want and must do.
FORD I am asking you to keep your PROMISE. You asked and we reserved.

Tony I found this and I will look for more:

Ford doesn’t say how many people have pre-ordered the Mustang Mach-E in Europe, but it does mention most of them are getting the extended-range battery pack. 85 percent of all pre-orders so far are for the 98.8-kWh battery instead of the standard 75.7-kWh setup. Equipped with the larger battery and in rear-wheel-drive guise, the electric crossover promises to cover 600 kilometers (373 miles) based WLTP, which is a more realistic test cycle replacing the old lab-based NEDC.

Thanks - that’s very kind of you. I’d not seen that release so well spotted.

I really deeply hope that Ford looks after everyone in the US (and I’m sure they will).

We should be one big happy worldwide Mach-E family brought together by what is promising to be a great vehicle. ?

It's been written in other threads that the Netherlands has an allocation of "just" 750 MMEs and that they are sold out.

If indeed Ford had allocated 30.000 cars to the EU, I think that:
a) NL's allocation would be larger, since it is one of the strongest (if not the strongest) EV market after Norway.
b) Ford would increase the allocation, if they're indeed trying to "push" as many cars as possible to the EU

Having said that, I don't know if the above is true, the information is through leasing companies if I understood correctly. But the online reservation system is still available, so I don't know what's the deal. Ford's strategy seems to remain a mystery.

Makes more sense that lets say production is 1k a week, 600 goes to EU and 400 to US.
Production will much more likely be 1K A DAY when they get started.
