Gotta say, these are some ugly Continentals. And what’s up with that pattern on the sidewalls? I’m sure they’re stickier than the OEM Michelin A/S tires but we’re ordering some 20” x 8.5” wheels with 245/45s so I’m going take them off and sell them. Shoulda saved the $250 we spent on the option.

Umm, no kidding. They look like the sidewalls have been buffed.

I thought the same thing. I know they’re also Euro export market tires for the MME so I wonder if Ford had to grind off some Euro spec info or something. It’s on all 4 tires. Whatever.

Yea that's a little off, how do they drive? But probably not a lot of choices in a UHP summer 225/55/19 103XL.

Wait your car came with the a/s tires despite ordering the summers?

Is that common, I would have thought it would just come with the summers installed, especially since it’s not sold as an accessory but an option.

Central Texas. But, I’ll probably post them up in the classified forum once we get the wheel/tire combo. Should only be a week or two from now.

I only drove 2 other MMEs previously, an SR awd and an FE, for a total of about 4 hours or so. Most of which was in the FE that we took over night to test. As good as the MME chassis and steering are, the OEM Michelin A/S tires are a weak link due to their dull steering response and overall lack of grip when hustling.

These Continental summer tires are a very big step up in steering precision and overall grip but I haven’t pushed them much yet. It’s a noticeable improvement though for sure.
