Thanks for the information.Hello @Mach-e4x, I'm not a lawyer, so please check your own laws to ensure you're properly educated. That said, my understanding is no, this does not void your warranty. Ultimately you're simply applying updated software that was made available by Ford with a Ford Software tool.
Now, should something go totally sideways and you can't pull yourself back out of it, I don't think that Ford would necessarily be required to get you back to stable footing free of charge. Similar to how a botched repair at an independent repair shop doesn't suddenly become free warranty work if the independent shop screws up.
When you say "software" update does that update the Sync Operating system that controls the module or is it like a Firmware update to the module itself?
