Hello, I have a 23‘ regular GT and when I had my car in at the shop for it’s 10k mile checkup, my tech pulled the updates and saw there were 11 pending, car is 6.8.0.
He didn’t have time that day to update them, also I had remembered reading on here they had issues with some updates disabling blue cruise or FDRS showing updates that weren’t really needed, since my car was built 5/25/23 right before job 2 started, I figured it would be worth checking here first.

He told me to not worry about it until next time it was in, but I snapped a pic and was just wondering if these are all good to install when I get some time to leave it. Or I have other friends with FDRS I know that could do it for me at home If there is not any special order to install or if they are still having software updating issues I will wait and do it later at Ford.

Just wanted to see what the current state was on FDRS updating, TY for the help!

Anyone who uses FDRS should know the proper way to do the updates. Must be connected to a power supply (20amps+), and the updates work in a specific order, yes.

Likely the dealership won't do them for free as they will take a bit of time.

Yeah I was going to just do it at home since I have a Pl6100 PSU from when I used to flash performance tunes, and access to a Bosch Mastertech 2 w/Fdrs sub.
I just didn't know if those updates on the list were the recall related ones, disabling blue cruise and bricking things, but I see now many of those were last year and old FDRS Software related.
Plus if it’s as simple as old SYNC updates with a usb stick it’s nothing too scary to me.
Ty for the help

Ty for the replies everyone, the tech I talked to didn’t seem too worried about it with current software, they only complain about how long it takes while just watching a bar fill up and perform the instructions on the screen and swapping usb stick.
I will go for it when I get some free time over a weekend and report back.
Thanks again to everyone

The CMR update is one where one person on here reported BC broke after it was done, but I do not recall the member's name. A few people have reported driver assist error's popping up after this update, too. If there is one to avoid to be cautions, it is that one (it is the equivalent to 6.13.0). However, many people have installed it or gotten via OTA and reported no issues.

Your car got 6.8.0 or is that the next OTA that is due? You are showing an IPC update and 6.8.0 is an IPC update.

The PSCM and IPMA are chained updates that will need to be done together and the IPMA will take 3 hours or so to do, so when you start those, keep that in mind. You do not want to start either one of those updates unless you have the time to spare. These updates will greatly improve the performance of bluecruise on your vehicle.

The power supply you mentioned is awesome and you will have no issues in that regards.

Just be forewarned that some modules can’t be updated via USB, so can take a while. Just the IPMA can take hours.

The car got 6.8.0 OTA last month, and I do believe the IPMA combo was the one referencing that would take “all day”.
Is there any recommended order to install I see some are chained as you said so I was going to do IPMA/PSCM last.
I plan for a whole day to do it in my garage so it’s no problem, just the laptop and music/podcasts while babysitting.
Ty for everyone who replied and wrote the guides. I went through them all, I know it would probably get the OTA eventually but I like to tinker with this kind of stuff
