I received the email on Feb 25th too - but nothng so far - but just today received an update 2.4.2 - so may be my VIN is a month behind? given 2.4.2 was released in Feb?
2.4.2 was reworked a bit. That accounts for the delay in getting it out to more EA members. If you got 2.4.2 today, you’re on your way to BC in a handful of days. I’m still on 2.4.1 as well.

I'm pretty sure a few weeks ago I got 2.4.2 but then it went back to 2.4.1. I received the EA email Friday. I keep checking the car. I have a five hour drive tomorrow, it would have been nice to test out BC.

Any insight on what was changed? I know some people had trouble getting it to install, but thankfully it seemed to fail gracefully.
No, but I suspect that if it was having install issues, that might have been it. Either way it’s back up and being pushed. That’s a good thing for all job 1 people whether they’re in EA or not.

Has anyone who received the email on Friday (March 18) had any updates scheduled since the email?

I suspect it will start during business hours Monday. Remember this part of the email?

Ford just released two new videos on their YouTube channel about BlueCruise hands free driving, one for the F-150 and one for the Mach-E. I’m hopeful that this means the final updates will be coming soon!
It's interesting that the rendering shows the vehicle driving right-of-center in hands free BlueCruise, just like I typically experience. Though it's more unnerving in reality.

I just got my email, too. For those interested, this is what it says.

Hi Valued Ford Early Access Program Member,

We are expanding our release of Ford BlueCruise™ software updates beyond our initial set of local participants. As a member of the Ford Early Access Program who signed up for Ford BlueCruise™ early access, you can still be one of the first to receive the next suite of Ford Power‑Up software updates. You'll receive between 5 and 7 updates depending on which vehicle you have, and at the end of this sequence of updates, you'll receive a message in FordPass notifying you that your vehicle has BlueCruise™ hands‑free driving enabled.

Some of these upcoming updates will require the vehicle off to install. During this type of update, you will not be able to lock, unlock or enter your vehicle. However, you will be able to exit your vehicle. We'll always send an in‑vehicle and in‑app reminder before the time you have scheduled the update so that you can make sure it occurs at a time that's convenient for you.

Our systems monitor these updates. If your software update fails, we'll trigger the update again and keep you on the same version in the meantime. If your update pauses due to loss of Wi‑Fi or cellular connection, the download will simply resume when connectivity is restored.

In the rare case that a critical system software configuration is not correct after the update has occurred, out of an abundance of caution, we will not let the vehicle operate. If this happens, contact the Ford Customer Relationship Center for Ford Power‑Up software updates at 1‑83‍3‑92‍6‑32‍87. Our Customer Relationship Center Team will work with you to get your vehicle towed to a dealership and ensure you have alternate transportation, if needed. We are committed to you receiving truly personalized service.

IMPORTANT NOTE: To enable us to assist our Early Access Program participants as quickly as possible in the event of an issue, we request you consider setting your update schedule each day Mon‍day through Fri‍day, between the hours of 8‍am and 11‍pm EST.

Please read the information below carefully to ensure you get the updates as soon as possible.

How to Prepare for Updates

Ensure Automatic updates are set to On

  1. Select Settings on your vehicle's SYNC® screen
  2. Select System Updates
  3. Toggle Automatic Updates to ON
Set a schedule for convenient day(s) and time

Should you choose to set your schedule outside of the recommended hours above, please DO NOT set your schedule for 12‍:‍00AM. We have a known issue and you will not receive your updates successfully. (12‍:‍01 AMworks)

Again, we recommend setting your schedule each day Mon‍day through Fri‍day, between the hours of 8‍am and 11‍pm EST, at a time you will not need to enter or use your vehicle. As noted, you'll be notified via FordPass and on your SYNC screen prior to each update. You'll then have an opportunity to reschedule.

  1. Select Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen
  2. Select System Updates
  3. Select Schedule Updates
    1. If no schedule has been set, select the days of the week and time that you typically don't need access to your vehicle.
    2. Your set schedule will be recurring, so every time an update that requires your ignition to be off becomes available, it will be installed at your selected day(s) and time unless changed.
    3. If a schedule has already been set, you can come back at any time to change it
  4. Select Save
When an update is ready for install, you can also choose to Update Now ahead of your scheduled time. You can do this when prompted on your in‑vehicle screen. From your SYNC screen, simply select one of these icons when it appears

or

, then proceed to Update Now. Or select Settings > System Updates > Update Details > Update Now. Please ensure you have enough time to complete the update, as you will not be able to use your vehicle during this time. Check your FordPass app for the latest information about how long each update will take (typically 15 to 45 minutes).

We Want to Hear From You

Your feedback is important to helping us improve Ford Power‑Up software updates. To make it easy, we've added a new Report Issue feature to our Ford Early Access website. Simply select the "Report Issue" button in this email – it will take you to a form where you can tell us about non‑critical issues and give general feedback.
I have yet to receive any update, I will not loose sleep over this one either.

At this point I’m curious to see how well BC works. I’m not sure that I’ll decide to pay for it but I’m glad to have the first year for free.

Looks like the wave has started. 2.4.3 is queued up for my car. Of course, I already did the updates with FDRS so I'm not sure what it will do.
Nothing for me according to the widget ? It’s still claiming that 2.4.1 failed and that it will retry (I received confirmation that 2.4.1 did indeed succeed and there’s a known issue on zford’s wnd ?
