Due to underwhelming demand, here are the April pre-release Release Notes:

- New Feature: FordPass now has an "Ctrl-Alt-Del" button.
- PaaK will be renamed PsaaK (Phone sometimes as a Key). This change was made to better align the feature with actual functionality.
- When using the PsaaK "unlock" feature, PsaaK will now unlock every car in a 100 foot radius, regardless of make or model, in case it forgot your VIN.

I did notice yesterday that my entertainment/radio page was acting weirdly last night on my way home. Maybe I was driving in the middle of that update. It all worked fine this morning. I didn't see an icon or a note or a progress report indicating an update either.

Well I was hoping for the rear seat ambient lighting OTA update....

(too soon?)
Unless the update is going to magically install rear door lights under the speaker like the front doors have, Wouldn't hold your breath.

Hopefully the update will fix the garage door opener issue. Still cannot open my garage with my Mach E. Another little miracle.!!!!!
I would not hold my breath on that one. The garage door opener is not integrated with "data" into the vehicle - as far as I know the only wires that run to Homelink are a 12V and a ground. It's not an update-able module.

I don't think there's a bug with HomeLink. It's the same module used in countless other cars that work fine. There's likely some other reason you haven't been able to get your garage door to work with it.

Man, Ford really should reveal exactly what is being updated. As someone who loves tech, I want this information. This is something Tesla does exceptionally well and I guess I expected the same from Ford. I hope this is not the OTA model we're going to be getting through the life of the car.
Also, it seems a little hokey. Maybe theyr'e going for that lighthearted, "fun and playful" delivery style, but it just comes across as insincere at this point with the car and all they mystery surrounding it. "Squash a few bugs" and "minor changes here and there"...?

Yup, I've noticed that they have a habit of saying "Ford Authority has learned" to imply they have some kind of inside source of info, when they really just read about it on our forum.
should we all just wave to Ford Authority then?

the thing is, have you ever read app release notes on your phone? a vast majority of them read that way. the developers don't bother putting release notes in, or put in useless notes like what Ford did here, because the vast majority of people never look.

even on apps that do want to tell me what's changed by putting it in front of me when I launch them, a vast majority of the time, I just want to use the app, and I dismiss the info. "get out of my way I'm trying to start the car, stupid FordPass with this nonsense!"

now that said, I agree with what some have said that having a "real" list somewhere (the Ford Owner site seems like the right place to me) that someone interested in reading the info, on their own time, on demand, would be nice.

Once I stopped actually following the instructions it took a minute. Unfortunately I also believe this isn't a Ford module.

I know what you mean -- but given the context of this situation (a new car, a big deal at that) and the tons of issues we've seen reported, yes -- an actual detailed list is really important right now.
Maybe down the road when the car has been running smoothly and they're on model year 2023, I'll be ignoring it. But for now... ALL THE INFORMATIONS, DEVELOPERS

Developers write very detailed release notes. The marketing types responsible for customer engagement are usually to blame for what gets published.

I have learned that the first update temporarily adds a Ford logo to the front grill. Eventually, it will turn into a just bare silver oval.

What's your make?

I have a Genie.

It took me an hour and trying different methods but I got it to work and it's now perfect.

I had to hold the garage door remote button for 10 seconds. THEN I had to simultaneously hold the remote and Homelink button I wanted programmed. Then I had to hit the program button on the unit itself and then again simultaneously hold remote and Homelink buttons. Programmed.
