Because there are hardware requirements for NFC. And it's a bit wonky too. And its not a Tesla.

Don't be too upset about the beta. Its the same update non-beta people are getting. And all there was after was a survey to ask you if it worked like you thought it would.

I assume it will be more involved as the bigger updates get ready to roll out.

So far, there has been no indication of that.

I did not get a notification on my android. The only way I knew I got it was by opening the app.

How do one see when there is an update in the app ? Is there a banner saying there was an update when you opened FordPass app ? On wich tab did you have the message ?

Well I never got an update. I checked the update portion in the car and it says that my car is up to date. Never got anything saying if one had happened.

Right now the app appears to be Broke AF. I wouldn’t rely on the app to provide any updated info. You’re better off checking the car itself under Settings > Updates.

when OTA are applied, does the FordPass app pop a notification ?

It pops up in the app as a Vehicle Alert. This is different than a notification in that I don't see a way to delete it. I kinda want that cleared so that it will be obvious when I get another update. I assume it will disappear on its own at some point.
