I have owned this Premium SR AWD since Jan 14.
Wife drives to work daily.
I occasionally drive over the weekend.
Ever since we got the car from the dealer at 100% charge, 172 mile GOM.
It never dropped below 100 miles
Today first time we took her for a 140 miles RT.
I forgot to charge 100% so at 90% it was showing 132 miles (it's cold here 25-29 degree range).
Live in southern NH (border to MA), drove on Rt-3, up north to 495N and 95N up to Portsmouth.
As soon as I entered the highway turned on cruise and set the speed.
Blue Cruise kicked in and off we go...
I would say 90% of the drive it stayed on.
Hands free, no touching paddle, just look ahead.
Took control on exit ramps etc.
once or twice BC turned off but it went to regular keep hands on the wheel and dynamic cruise control, lane centering mode.
It snapped back immediately into BC.
On the way back sun was shining in the front and that messed up BC good.
The 12 mile segment to my daughter's house BC worked only like 10% time.
When I drove from her home to mine (50 miles) at evening, BC worked perfectly.
BC observations:
- Love how easy it is to engage
- It re-engages flawless after lane change or when it cancels itself.
- Full BC vs. lane-keep/dynamic cruise language very confusing.
- I can see how this feature would reduce fatigue on longer drives.
DC Fast charge.
This worked perfectly, FP app showed me DC FC within 3 miles at an outlet mall.
Went there and tried to charge, very first time at public charger.
Wow that cable is heavy... It was 150Kw station.
First time generated fault message.
Unplugged and plugged back in.
This time it detected the car and started charging, I didn't have to put credit card, use FP etc.
In 24 min (Walked around outlet), it added 62 miles.
Went from 48% SOC to 72%.
Not bad. Almost same distance I had used to get there.
It's been a great first road trip.
Gives me confidence to take her on a longer trips.
BC - I know Job-1 folks are still waiting, hope you get soon, it's worth it.
