Just received an e-mail from Ford Authority about the delay of shipping our Mustangs. However, it was Europe that is experiencing the delay, not us (U.S.). See Ford, how hard was that? Why can’t you extend this communication to those of us that ordered the 2021 Mustang Mach E like you did with the 2002 Ford Thunderbird ?

There hasn't been any delay in shipping my Mach-E. It's still being built at this time, and in the original timeframe that Ford hinted at when I reserved the car last year.

Is your car built and not shipped for awhile now? What did customer service say when you called the 800 # to ask about it?

No, I ordered mine on 10-12-2020 so I don’t expect delivery until April -June. What I’m talking about their lack of communication in general for those who have build dates or those waiting withou build date. Ford can do this they just win’t Not so with my 2002 Thunderbird (see my other posts on this).

I've seen your many other posts on it. It's getting really tiring because we don't agree about the level of communication nor that they are behind in any substantial way, but it just keeps getting brought up endlessly.

Agreed, Ford does a very poor job of communicating.

I’ve found Ford’s end-consumer communications to be a bit inconsistent. I’m not going to lose sleep over it, and I chalk it up to a combination of the pandemic and Ford getting used to a new business model that involves a lot more direct individual communication directly to end customers, instead of through dealers.

Every time I've order a Ford - fiesta, focus, kuga etc I sign up and get told it will be around 12 weeks and have no communication until it's eta at the dealer is in around a week.

Now with the mache it appears our standards have changed and we want to know a lot more and if we don't get what fits our standards we complain about lack of communication?

Does this mean that Ford and other car companies haven't tapped into this and are out of date with the way they do things?

Yep, ford is the worst at communicating. I mean why would I be here to complain about it. Just go buy another vehicle and move on. Since it's so bad.

You order a tesla you place it says the weeks. that's it. they are not holding your hand each week. Neither is other companies. Advertising and extra are going away people. Profit margins are shrinking.
The old way is leaving. people wanted I pick my car, I order online let me know when it's here. That is the way ALL auto manufacturers are going. Act like other auto manufacturers are just leaping to call each person all the time or send emails. My neighbor had ordered a polstar2. He heard nothing then just got an email it's delayed no reason why or anything. It was already a long drive to get so he canceled it and got an ID4 on order. Then lol it got delayed. They went and purchased Lexus.

It's going to be all the same with online ordering. Less info here is your car it's ready.

I doubt there is many. @macchiaz-o provides a lot of value in the forum. He's provided us with many photos of our cars that we're getting that would not otherwise be available in many ways .

I didn't even get this email so it is still very hard for them to communicate
