Ford BlueCruise 1.3 is coming soon The Ford BlueCruise 1.3 software update is coming. It significantly enhances hands‑free highway driving performance overall including greater ability to navigate narrow lanes and curves. To help ensure you get the latest and greatest to your vehicle, make sure you: 1. Turn ON Automatic Software Updates – this keeps updates coming as they roll out 2. Set a recurring schedule – choose a time that is most convenient for you so you never miss a non‑drivable Software Update Additional tips: • Connect to Wi‑Fi for improved installation speed • Don’t skip updates – this will impact future updates • If an update requires your vehicle to be parked, you’ll be notified through the FordPass® App ahead of time • Not all updates roll out at the exact same time – for example, you might receive it before your neighbor • After an update, you’ll receive a notification in FordPass®detailing what’s new • Visit Ford.com/support for more information​ How to schedule updates​

*BlueCruise requires a Connected Service plan that provides regular map updates, FordPass® App, and modem activation. Ford BlueCruise‑equipped vehicles come with either a 90‑day trial or a 3‑year BlueCruise Connected Service plan, after which purchase is required. See ford.com/bluecruise for BlueCruise availability and version details. See the Connected Services section of your Ford Account for your BlueCruise Connected Service plan status and available plan options. Driver‑assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver’s attention, judgment and need to control the vehicle. Ford BlueCruise and Lincoln BlueCruise are hands‑free highway driving features. Only remove hands from the steering wheel when in a Hands‑Free Blue Zone. If the pattern for BC 1.3 OTA is the same as the BC 1.0 OTA's..... for which I got the Gateway module update and then 2 weeks later I started getting an OTA everyday for like 5 days. With two OTA's on the last day to activate BC 1.0.

I got a the 5.1.1 OTA Gateway module update one week ago today (8/16). So maybe next week we'll see more frequent updates for BC??

I am still waiting on getting the 5.1.1 but I got the email saying BC 1.3 coming soon. Anyway glad its rolling out before the end of summer means I should get it before my next roadtrip..

Have you already received 5.1.1? I’m curious if these emails are only going out to those who got, in theory, the first update in the series.

I got the email today I am not in the EA program and still don't have a working Frunk button inside the Frunk or app or dash or anything. I am a Job 1 2021 Premium.

" Connect to Wi‑Fi for improved installation speed ". Why do they keep saying that when anecdotal evidence seems to indicate that updates never seem to come over wifi? Should we connect our MMEs to wifi at home or not?

I got no email or notification in FordPass as of yet.

I received the email about an hour ago as well.

I started up my MME to see if the update was queued there and found that my automatic update was toggled off. I'm thinking from a previous update (last I got was the radio station update) turned it off. So I'd suggest checking your automatic update to make sure it isn't toggled off.
