Ford Car Cover for Mach-E installed

I decided to pick up the Ford Car Cover during the Labor Day sale and with my points for purchasing my GT.

Very happy, perfect fit and has a mesh for the vents and a nice opening for the charging plug.

Wanted to share since prior to purchasing I could not find any post, pictures or videos.

I think that is because very few people use car covers. Looks good though.

I got one used from a guy in Alaska (I can't recall the reasons he was selling). Works fine. I only use it if I'm a) leaving my car somewhere for an extended period, b) my car is actually clean (don't want to put a car cover on a dirty car as it can scratch the paint), and c) I remember to bring it with me! But since it was inexpensive, I'm happy to have it.

I'm full-time garaged as well, but I like the charge port flap. Looks like it would set on top of the plug and possibly protect it from rain/snow as well.

I bought the exact same one in 2022. I use it until the car gets a little dirty then wont use it until I wash it, usually 2 or 3 days. I’ll also leave it off if its going to be really windy. 3 years later it’s still in pretty good shape. The elastic isn’t as tight and my wife had to restitch an area near the drivers side mirror. I can’t say how well it would hold up in true winter conditions, but it’s done well in the desert heat not garaged.

Yeah, b) usually prevent a) from being executed, and if not, c) pretty much covers the rest

This is important. I left a cover on my T/A during some wind. The cover beat all the paint off of the car’s horizontal surfaces.

I live in the windy desert and use a cover car on windy days. Is your concern it scratching the paint? Thanks

Yes, especially in the desert. I havent noticed any scratches so far, but see Steve’s post #8 above. I do love the cover for protection from the blistering sun, bird crap, light rain, tree sap, etc.

I use a cover that most people call a garage. I don't use it when I'm away from home though.
