This new EU Explorer has really nothing in comon with the other EU SUVs.
Based on the VW MEB platform it is somewhat smaller than the MME (30cm or 1 foot) but larger than the Focus. For EU the right vehicle size, however the price will not make it available to the general public. rumors state something like 48K for the base version.

Why exactly is it a POS? Is that due to your opinion of the aesthetics or some spec list that I did not see?

I know a few people with ID.4's and their only real complaint seems to be the infotainment system. This looks like it's a Ford infotainment system which would make this a decent if unspectacular BEV. And let's be honest, we need some unspectacular, mass-market BEVs (besides Teslas - sorry, couldn't resist)

I like the screen integration much better than the stuck on floating effort in the mach-e, but they have followed the same stupid mistake that VW did with capacitive touch buttons & sliders (at least it is illuminated) along with the 2 button electric windows .

We know things get locked long before we se the final results so that decision would have been made a while ago but it is interesting to see that when VW recently showed the id2.all those errors have been undone with physical controls on the wheel, hvac and the return of 4 electric window buttons.

You think ford would have learned from the last time they did capacitive buttons and had to change them later, but no they keep making the same mistake. Still at least it got a ski hatch entry on the back seat unlike the mach-e

It is ugly in my opinion. I do like one thing they have done. The ability to move the sync screen. I wish the MME screen could be on some type of hinge where it could be adjusted left, right up, and down.

Also, that light blue color makes this thing look too soft and pillowy, like it's for some lily-ass sissy boys secure in their masculinity or something crazy. Needs to go with a dark color to give it some weight and compensation.
