Ford has all deliveries on hold. Anyone know why?

Got a text from my friend who’s a tail dispatcher the other day - my car is at the rail yard in my city. The dealer says he can’t pick it up because all Mach E deliveries are on hold until 5/30. Ford can’t give me a reason why.
Does anyone else know?

I obviously have no idea, but I wonder if they're trying to figure out pricing. I took delivery this week at the Feb 2023 pricing, with the $2,000 rebate. But I have seen others say their dealer (or maybe even their account?) has the 2023.5 pricing for their already built 2023. I haven't been following the conversations here lately, but I feel like there's a post in the MME Facebook group every 5 minutes about it.

You know, sometimes I wish I had never found this forum. Evidence adds up over time that makes me second guess Ford and their ability to deliver me a quality product for the $$$ I'm spending (let's not discuss $800 blue cruse subscription cost). I get that negativity rules the day and I miss all the positive experiences people have. Ignorance is bliss.

It's close to what happens in my engineering job. We focus so much on the "problems and escalation" of the day/week/month that we lose sight of all the positive progress we make.

Sounds like nationwide. Mine is sitting in Winston-Salem NC waiting to head to Durham.

From what my friend at the dealership says, they're not 100% sure themselves what the issue is, but before finding out others were also getting delayed, they said it could be like a pre-recall. They found faulty chips, or faulty parts, and need to take care of it before the car can move further. He also said it could have been something such as the car being damaged in transit, but since many people seem to be having the same delay, it probably isn't that.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact they retooled the factory and then built approx. 400 cars in FEB, 7,000 in MAR, and 12,000 in April?

just talked to my salesperson and he doesn't see any hold on my Mach-E but there are for some Mavericks and Explorers. he's just as anxious as i am to get mine sold since their snapshot (sales performance for allocations) date is monday and he's waiting on at least 3.

13 months of waiting, 3 orders later - here she is!

Will update with pricing on PCO, $2K MME, $2K Options, etc...

There's your problem. It was shipped on the 44th of April. Those always take forever to arrive.

OK. Stopped at my dealer and they looked at me like I was crazy when I asked if MMEs were being held up. They said they had one that just came in yesterday (not mine ).

This rumor might be a whole lot of nothing. Delays may be situational and coincidental. The other option is that my dealer had not heard about it yet. Without verifiable evidence, I’m going with the former.

I talked to the dealer this week and they said edge has center screen recall due to unresponsive screen at start up like my MME. And some other models have back up camera recalls. No test drive on those cars. I did not ask about recalls on MME. This information is from a salesperson so I would not be sure.
