Episode 4 is all about Performance & Charging. Any bets that we will get real numbers by then?

Real EPA range?
Real 0-60?
Real power and torque?
Real charging rates?
Charging curves?
Based on history, I would bet no. I am expecting nothing new.

But perhaps, just maybe, they strategically planned this to be the last episode, so it can correspond with a release of updated and impressive numbers! ? Please surprise us Ford!

I was thinking the same thing. I don't think we'll know real numbers until late november.

Maybe the Ford Connected Charging Station will actually be available for order by then?

When I clicked on the "add to calendar" all but the first went in as Oct 8? Any one else see this?
Yes. each of the calendar reminders has the same internal id, so each time you click on one it removes the previous entry from your calendar. Just click the 17th for now, and after it is over click the 24th's.

There's actually a thread about it

Real EPA range?
Real 0-60?
Real power and torque?
Real charging rates?
Charging curves?
we know these answers: (*)
  • "Real EPA range?" Yes, the EPA range will exist; it won't be imaginary. An integer between 0 and... 325 miles.
  • "Real 0-60?" Yes, the 0-60 time will exist; it won't be imaginary. Some number below 10 seconds.
  • "Real power and torque?" Yes, they will exist; they won't be imaginary. Some numbers between 0 and 500.
  • "Real charging rates?" Yes, there will be electrons flowing at some speed. They won't be imaginary, but they will be very very small, so you won't be able to see them. Trust us.
  • "Charging curves?" Ford won't try to charge-shame anyone's charge body. That's not cool nowadays. Real chargers have curves, anyway.
(*) this was perhaps my worst post across this whole site and that's a real achievement at this point.

Maybe this guy will record it for us. For everyone. You know, for the mission.

Some folks can never acknowledge that there are other reasonable alternatives to Tesla and that customers have different tastes, needs and personal preferences. It is amazing that this guy knows all the flaws before even driving the MME. It's even more amazing that he is ok with Tesla flaws while deriding assumed flaws of the MME. No manufacturing is 100% perfect. If anything, he should be flattered that Ford benchmarked Tesla to design a new car from the ground up. Also, Ford has years of experience with batteries although they never figured out the financial potentials of them in their core business.

That said, I drive a Ford Explorer now and I am eagerly awaiting my MME to replace it - flaws and all.

6 am ish here - I haven't even had coffee by then.
6:30 pm EDT stay for the webinars is 3:30 in CA - unless CA slid off the map and drifted to the dateline already. ;)
