I just talked to me dealer. I think I was one of the first ones to say the dealer network was the weak link in this whole process, but I am changing my mind. I think that my first experiences may have been clouded by the fact the dealers didn’t have much information from Ford, but since the Mach Drop my dealer has been fantastic. He has been proactive, he told me about the “Tour” in advance, he confirmed the steps, he said no problem in the X plan. He also thinks I might have a VIN in the next week or so. He said the NY EV rebate is at the point of sale so that drops the price right off the top. I am thankful to have someone close by to support the car if anything goes wrong. I guess individual mileage will vary.
The whole problem with the internet model is that you have almost no recourse if your emails are ignored and go straight to the bit bucket. With a local dealer, you can at least go there and while they may not do what you want at least you can't be ignored. If you're not ignored and are reasonable and don't lose your mind, you have a much better chance of getting something done if you at least find the right person to talk to. Even if they ignore you personally, you can still go to the BBB to get something done.

While I don't generally recommend it, go to tesla's official forum and look at the solar panel section. There's no chance of me going with tesla panels after reading that for 10 minutes.

Thanks so much. My dealer had mentioned this to me yesterday, but without this link I wouldn’t have known to register. Thanks so much. It doesn’t sound like there are any test drives or ride alongs. Just a meet and greet but still....
your dealer actually keeps in touch with you?

So, not a USA tour. Might want to rename the thread California Tour and a few states in the Northeast - Kind of like Tesla.
yeah a coast and coast tour but guess the middle states don't matter

I wonder how they chose the dealers. As someone mentioned, they have a few in the Los Angeles area. But the thousand pound gorilla among Ford dealers is Galpin Ford, and they are not on the list.

I just heard about a roadshow event at the end of October at All American Ford - Paramus, NJ. That's on the other side of the country from me. Damn it!

Are there more of these happening?

They're not and my dealer also isn't, so I chose the next closest . . . . . already ordered so I really didn't care which dealer I go to sit in the car and see if it is what I need.

I also reserved one at the same time for Monday the 19th at Fullerton Ford, 1044 U.S. Route 22 East, Somerville, NJ 08876, USA.

Now that I know there are options, Monday fits my schedule better.
I am considering going to this one as well. I actually emailed the dealer today to see if they might be able to find out what color car(s) will be on display. I am really hoping to see infinite blue. If they answer I will let you know. Worth a try....

Just received an email from my dealer. Never emailed them before so likely pulling from the list of reservations/orders.

"The excitement has been building, and it’s about to hit another level! The all-electric and all exhilarating 2021 Mustang Mach-E embodies incredible power, unparalleled range, and breath-taking design … all in a package that protects the environment as much as it empowers driving excitement. And for one evening only, you’ll be able to sit inside and actually “experience” the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E yourself!*"

Hmmm. No Detroit, Atlanta, Chicago, etc. I don't get it. I checked in with my dealer and I know more about the MachE than they do. They claim complete radio silence from Ford on the MachE and the Bronco. I guess COVID-19 is going to be the excuse for lack of communication and repeated stumbles on new product roll outs. With all the marketing and sales technologies available today, why aren't prospective buyers (at least ones with outstanding reservations/orders) receiving periodic communications from FoMoCo? They have my email and phone number and the only one time outreach was when my reservation hit my dealer. I've received more emails from ChargePoint. As I said before, I don't get it.

From talking with my salesperson: It sounded to me like they had to go digging for it.

When the prices dropped I called him and asked if he saw the e-mail. His response was: We get tons of e-mail from Ford daily--if you're not specifically looking for something you'll miss it.... "ah here it is...".

Thus it is possible your dealer simply hasn't looked through the haystack to find the needle... or they have anything with Mach-E and/or Bronco in the subject line marked as spam!? ;)

I just heard about a roadshow event at the end of October at All American Ford - Paramus, NJ.
Shoot!! My emotions just went all over the place! All American Ford - Paramus, NJ is my dealership! I went as fast as I could to register. And then I got my confirmation email and realized that's not where the event is.......the event is at All American Ford - Old Bridge, NJ, over an hour away. While I could probably sneak away from work to go to Paramus for a little bit, Old Bridge is a littler far.......

Although looks like @ChasingCoral is making a day out of it coming from Maryland!!

Fullerton Ford is a little closer, but still don't know if I could get away for that long!!

No charge for the emotional roller coaster.
...but seriously it’s only an hour any, DO IT! I have been trying to justify an 800 mile one way trip.
