Three major recalls after being out for eight months for the model y.

For some reason just call it a good feeling the mache crash test rating will very good indeed.

Later.

IIHS buys production cars just like us, not sure about the NTSB but I'd assume something similar. But I know the Mach E is on their list for testing.

Wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that big car manufacturers, as they design new models, do a bunch of fancy modeling and build a bunch of mockups to see how they perform in "test" crashes, and then factor that into the overall design? And then do some more testing of the final product (even if preproduction), so when the NHTSA does the test, there are no surprises to the manufacturers?

We probably should not point fingers, Ford had a huge recall for EV battery fires recently. Burned down someone's garage while just sitting, scary stuff. Fix was to not charge anymore.

yep, I agree once the mache is out. We will see then. But the Kuga is a hybrid. We will compare BEV to BEV. Way lets parts.

From the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS):

First up for the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E are evaluations of headlights, vehicle-to-vehicle front crash prevention and pedestrian front crash prevention. Crashworthiness evaluations kick off in a few weeks.
