Ford not reimbursing “old” owners for a second key fob.

I just told our dealer that PAAK wasn’t working for my Wife and we needed to get another FOB. It took awhile but I finally got them to cough one up! ( No extra charge )

Ditto for me. It took a lot of emails but I finally got a second key.

I bought a second key fob because it makes me feel more secure. I don't expect Ford to give me one when it is not part of the car's package. If you want two, buy one.

The car package listed Paak. Which for many does not work well. ?

I bought a second fob and convinced the dealer to program it for free. PAAK is too flakey but I do use it some. Typical issue that I saw today: walk up to car, lights come on, push door button and it opens, get into car and push start, then get key not found message. If I put the phone on the charger pad it then starts. This is just stupid. The car knows I have the phone when I walk up to it, then decides I do not really have it.

"We don't care about the customers we full well tricked before they got smart enough to throw a fit about our non-working crap. So tell them to piss off as we already got their money."

Yep, that's the way I read it too. I can't believe how crappy they are being when clearly the number one complaint here is Paak followed by "my range is wrong".

It is very disappointing, and my only real complaint with FoMoCo. I bought a second fob 6 months ago expecting not to get anything, but since they started giving 2 fobs with newer cars they clearly recognize the problem.

this is actually my only complaint about my whole mach e experience, one key fob. Car should've come with a second fob from the beginning. In terms of customer satisfaction I'm really surprised they just don't go back and give a second fob to everyone. THe cost would be relatively insignificant. and these early innings, they should really want satisfied customers.

BUT, i won't hold my breath for a second fob and also won't lose sleep over it.

Both my wife’s and my phone work great with PaaK. Phone locked, in pocket no issues. I have an iPhone XR and the wife has a iPhone 11.

Does someone have an info from Ford that July-and-later builds are coming with 2 fobs? I got mine in October and got only one, so it would be nice to point my dealer to a document before asking for the second fob.

Is your car built after July 7th? If yes then should have been a 2nd fob in the owners wallet bundle of stuff.

My dealer removed it and forgot about it. I assumed it only came with one key. Then this SSM came out and I called them on it. It has been about 6 weeks and I still don't have it because they sent it to the wrong address at first. Looking like I may finally get it in the next week or so... Not holding my breath.
