Ford Performance Teases RTR Mach-E Mustang Collaboration, Reveal Coming 7/21

Ford appears to be teasing an upcoming reveal on 7/21 for the Mach E. Got some of their Ford Ambassadors involved.

That sound reminds me of that crazy video of the stripped down Mach-E, doing some Ken Block-esque driving. Mixed with some regular gas engine noises. Maybe a side by side race?

That "spy" video was most certainly a planned leak video. Too much like a Bigfoot video to be a real spy scene. I've already heard as much online too. This is all part of a coordinated marketing effort, and a smart one at that. Ford is getting more and more savvy with what they are doing and rolling out.

Dark Horse will be a special variant that will slot above the GT. There could be elements from these test/prove out vehicles that will make it to dark horse production. Most likely won't be revealed until after the GT launches as it will launch after the base and GT variants. Stay tuned for more info later.

Any chance that may include an OTA performance boost for us initial GT buyers?

Tesla sells their OTA boost package, hopefully Ford doesn’t play that game and passes on improvements if they only require software edits.

You would hope that any improvements would also end up being sold via ford performance as upgrade packs / parts similar what is available on a host of other ford vehicles and being a BEV should also mean no need to get carb approval

It's quite likely that performance upgrade "unlocks" will be sold OTA. It's all profit margin and Ford needs profit in a bad way.

Just like your phone and TV have unleashed a ton of profitable subscription services, we are probably going to see much the same for our cars. I'm not just talking about the MME but all cars going forward.
