So based on other threads, it appears EA folks are on 4.x.x. Does the update sequence jump fr 3.6.x to 4? Or am I 4+ updates behind? Honestly, I don't give AF about the number I'm on. Whatever update finally brings the new AA and UI is all I'm waiting on.

There are two numbered updates after 3.6.2 at this point: 4.1.1 and 4.1.2. Also not all ea members are on 4.1.2, many are still on 3.6.2 or earlier.

We got 3.6.2 this AM. Not EA just normal 22 MY updates that happen pretty normally over the last few months of last year.
Im all in for testing the GOM and can't wait for the 4.x.x updates.

Received yesterday, December 2020 Job 1 build.

It started a charge to 100% after it completed despite my settings (either a bug or calibration?) I let it go, maximum range was much higher than I expected given the temperatures and recent experiences.

I'm away from my L2 for a couple of days, and assuming it'll resume my settings then. If not, I'll delete and re-add.

I'll also see how it behaves given a couple of road trips I've had the past two weeks and I got a very good sense of range and estimates prior to 3.6.2.

I suspect it'll get closer to what I expect after a drive or three.

haha whoa! Took 3.6.2 yesterday an today upon charging to 100% I'm showing 271 miles.

Is this gonna stop the "I'm not getting advertised range" folks?

Installed mine last night (love the update now feature). I showed 274 miles of range at 100% (not sure why it charged to 100%, ignoring my scheduled charge settings, but whatever. So that was fun too see. Just add more miles!! Why not go for 400? :)

Anyone have any tips on how to ensure the car wonā€™t automatically charge back up to 100%?

Probably not. 3.6.2 clears driving history, so if avg. mi/kWh was below EPA (3.1 'ish) the GOM jumps to unrealistic max. range. The opposite happens if you are more efficient. The GOM will recalibrate after a few hundred miles. The range algorithm changes are probably most applicable to winter conditions.

What bothers me is that it doesn't take into account current and forecasted temperature and jumps to summer (best possible) consumption. Yes, a few drives will change it to more realistic, but does it mean that the algorithm doesn't use the temperature at all after 3.6.2?

No they totally changed it. Iā€™ve had it since early Dec and my range always shows more now.
This is likely due to all the complaints they get about range but I think it makes more sense. As you drive it will update depending on your driving style, slowly. Iā€™m always over 200 miles on my ER at 80% and before I was at 190 at 100%.
