Same window opens tomorrow for delivery, but now the email says March. Se on website, but Ford tracker still says 1/21. Was delivered to Speedway today.

Somewhat similar here. Notified by email that the estimated delivery date moved from January 17th to January 24th to March 15th to March 21st. MME was delivered to Speedway in Kansas City Kansas on 12 January.

Ford has clearly heard the complaints about not communicating with customers and is now communicating!
Maybe damage from the transportation?

Same email here. Yes not COVID related. Would be nice to know generally what the issue(s) are but glad they will be taken care of before delivery.

Sad to say, but I hope it's the heart-attack answer.
Either that or they slowed the train down to slower than walking speed to take an extra 45 days to go the 2300 miles from where they already tied it down to the railcar to me. :p

I promise it will be a hard-pass for me if it's really that long. I have patience, but that's a bridge too far.

This sounds more like they found a production flaw and issued a stop sale. This is common for new models and it takes a period of time to check all the vehicles and make any necessary repairs. It's one of the risks taken in ordering early production vehicles.

Fortunately/unfortunately for me, depending on your perspective, a fossil car is not an option. The only other BEV that I'm really that interested in is the VW ID.4 and I doubt they'll have any on the lots in any material quantity by March 30 when my Mach-E is now slated to arrive. I'll say the race did get a bit more wide open though, if an unclaimed ID.4 did happen to be available before.

Yup. I'd bet this is a blanket stop ship judging by how many already-shipped orders seem to be impacted. It would be actually more reassuring to me if they'd say why this happened. If we're enthusiastic enough to have someone going out and taking photos of the Kansas City Southern yard where they're being offloaded, we can handle the truth, IMO.

Wonder if it's worth a survey on Battery, Motor, Trim level of the delays and seeing if there's any trends. Those would be the ones I'm worried about - wouldn't really bother me much if it was a "glovebox-misalignment" stop ship, but if it's a "high voltage battery failure" one, then I definitely care.

Any inside information?

Do we know if this delay is affecting all cars or just the ones already in the U.S?

What happens if all these delays add up to cars being delivered in September that were promised in March/April? Will they just scrap those and start producing 2022 models?

I guess it's a good thing mine hadn't left the factory yet 😆
My premium supposed to be built last week but not happening until now. They may slow down/halt the production as well seems like. There could be some serious issue discovered.
