From that letter, it seems to indicate that cars will arrive at the dealer but need something fixed before we can take delivery. The delay could be related to the typical wait for parts? Just guessing.

Youre killing us man!

I have not yet received an email.
You wouldn't want him to lose his job if he was to disclose that the issue is the frunk can actually only hold shrimp and not Buffalo Wings, would you?

Sorry, best I can do at humor given.

Mine is scheduled to be built the week of Jan 24th. I wonder if mine will be delivered before many of the ones already shipped but have to go back (if that is indeed true)?

if it is something that needs fixed I would guess it is easier to correct it while being built than to rework 1,000’s of cars.
Mine is “in production”.... now I’m nervous!! ?

Well damn this is really grim news to hear. I’ve read all of the previous entries so far on this thread, and am very concerned for us all. My last email from them stated a build week for my car of of 1/11/21 basically right now. Those who ordered FE models must be supremely angry.
I did NOT receive an email from Ford today as many apparently did.

I am posting to this because I find it extremely ironic that a salesman from the local dealer I ordered from called me this evening.
I didn’t answer (crap!!) as the number he called me from wasn’t one I recognized. As in a completely different area code. Weird, why don’t they call you from the dealership ”line”?
Anyways —his message word for word was “sorry your car still isn’t here yet, but it’s definitely still inbound.“.
I’ll be calling him back tomorrow and post whatever update I can provide. ?

@trutolife27 sorry for tagging you directly. can it be that it has something to do with the OCSM?

MME's delivered or on it's way have the OCSM specified, MME's still on the plant (but already manufactured weeks ago) dont have the OCSM data filled in.

Forgive my ignorance but what is OCSM?

I filled out the survey. But I don't think it asked me enough questions. So here's my details.

My Mach E Premium ER AWD was built on Dec 9. On Tuesday Jan 12th (3 days ago), its status changed to "shipped" on Ford's VIN tracking site, "in transit" www.macheforum.com/site/pages/tracker, and "built" on the reservation site. On Wednesday Jan 13th (2 days ago), I received an email from Ford with estimated delivery date of 2/18 to 2/24. The status on reservation site changed to "shipped".

I didn't receive any email from Ford in the last few hours. The estimated delivery date didn't change on the websites either. I'm hoping that I got lucky and my car had the remediation applied before it left factory.

Well this is not the news I wanted to wake up to for all of you.

Mine was built Jan 4th (Shows as Produced Jan 5th via FordTracker). It initially showed up with an ETA of March 1st and awaiting shipment. Few days later went back to "In Production" and no ETA and stuck that way till yesterday, even though I know other cars, including FCTP units, were being shipped out.

Yesterday evening it finally moved to "In Transit" and VIN showed on palsapp.com.

First thing this AM I finally see a new ETA, and "Shipped" confirmation via Ford Order Tracking:
Ford Mustang Mach-E Ford sends mass Mach-E delivery delay emails [Updated with Ford's response] Mach E Shipped.JPG

And FordTracker shows the same ETA:
Ford Mustang Mach-E Ford sends mass Mach-E delivery delay emails [Updated with Ford's response] 1610703897661

Really hoping whatever issue may have been fixed before mine shipped, which is what caused the initial delay in it's shipment....

Hopefully we get the full story on the cause for delay soon, and that the delay isn't as long as ETA shows for most of you whose Mach-E's were already in transit for a while!

EDIT: As I was posting this I received my shipped e-mail from Ford....

My car, built Jan 4th, was just shipped and I've now received shipped confirmation e-mail with an ETA end of Feb. Hopefully they've fixed whatever the issue is/was at the Factory and shipments moving forward won't be delayed any further. I'm realllllly hoping that's the case at least.

This sounds more like they found a production flaw and issued a stop sale. This is common for new models and it takes a period of time to check all the vehicles and make any necessary repairs. It's one of the risks taken in ordering early production vehicles.
Spot on! This happened in 2002 when the first Thunderbirds were delivered during the rollout of the new model. Cars that were already delivered from railway had to be returned to Ford to be fixed. There was a problem with the hydraulic pump that controlled the fan on the engine. Needless to say, people were not happy and very disappointed after waiting over a year for their cars! In the end, however, everyone was happy when the issue was resolved and the cars were returned to being delivered on time.
