Just noticed this, looks like Premium is now going to take at least 6 months to come in. Nothing about model year though, surely if we're talking November+ it would be a 2022?

The plan was for 50,000 launch year units split 40/60 between North America and the EU/UK. While the split has apparently changed somewhat, the total numbers haven't increased at all. This doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

Does anyone know where Ford sits with the current $7500 Federal tax credit? If they sell a bunch of these and I were to get one in November\December is it still eligible for the full $7500?

I really don't think ford will run out.
They will but it will be another year or so unless a new program by the Feds extends the program past 200k cars. By the end of this year they will probably be around 30% mark if not more. It's not just the MachE that qualifies under Ford (though their other offerings probably did not use up too many of the credits).

The F150 will eat it up fairly quickly.

Ford was at 126k after 2020. The phaseout starts the quarter after you exceed 200,000 units. Mach E owners should be good through the rest of 2021.

Yes. As of late last year they were at 130,000 EVs sold. By the end of this year they should be at 175,000 at most. Figure them topping 200,000 some time next year, but there is still a grace period of a quarter before the credit goes down - so if you order this year you will probably be OK - depending upon how big the backlog gets

Isn't the Mach-E Ford's first EV? How could they be at 130K already? Is that global sales?

No. They had the Focus Electric and several plug-in hybrids.
... one of which is still (just barely) for sale new, the Fusion PHEV (which is no longer called the "Energi").

Everyone holding out for an all electric F150 may never see a tax credit unless the government ups the rebate per the current infrastructure bill winding it's way through legislation as we speak.

What does this mean for orders already in the pipeline? Do they do these things in sequential order or just randomly? My progress on step 2 changed from “ready” to “in progress“ today so I was happy to see some movement forward.

Sorry, I wasn't clear: only EV's sold in the US count toward the 200,000 threshold. As mentioned by others, that includes hybrids so Ford has actually been selling EV's for almost a decade. Obviously the Mach-E is their first EV that is selling well.
