In order to help me design stuff for my Ford (Tesla-made) NACS to CCS Adapter, I created a 3D CAD model of the adapter. It's definitely not perfect, but it might be helpful to those of you who would also like to design stuff for the adapter, so I thought I'd share it here. Please note that this model comes with no warranty of accuracy, suitability, liability or any other word ending in "y". If you decide to use it, you assume all risks, however big or small. OK, with the (hopefully) wife-pleasing "legalese" out of the way, the model is attached below. (Full disclosure, for the CCS and NACS connector portions I used 3D CAD models from GrabCAD - both which I heavily modified to be suitable here.)

Have fun!

PS. Yes, I know I'm a bit late here, especially since Ford is now also shipping the Lectron adapter. But I figured it might still be useful to those how have the Ford/Tesla version.

John the busy beaver! Thanks for sharing. Mine will be going back and I don’t know which I will be getting as a replacement, so the CAD file is of unknown use to me. If I get another Brand T adapter, I already have measurements. If I get the new Ford/Lectron adapter, I will need to measure again. 🤪🐩

I decided to also provide a TeslaTap Mini 3D CAD model in case it's of use to others... Same "legalese" applies!

It’s really not a big deal. I used it once for 2-3 minutes to see how it works. The routes I travel have enough CCS-1 stations to where I don’t need the adapter And I don’t travel all that far any more. Beside that, I kind of figured there might be a quality problem based on the source and the fact that mine was in the first batch that was produced after Elon fired everyone then hired new people. Second batch FTL! 🤪🐩

I am actually hoping that I get one of the Ford/Lectron units to see the differences. I will neither confirm nor deny that I will be able to see internal differences. 😁🐩

I guess since I’ve never got a letter and I got mine in September and I’ve used it once, it must be good to go so I guess I’m keeping the one I got?

June deliveries only are affected. If you didn’t get a letter you are not in the suspect batch. 😊🐩
