Didn't someone post that recently they discovered that if the doors are locked, the button next to the charge port no longer allows someone to walk up and stop the charging and remove the charge cable?
Yes, I saw that post from another member.

So I tried it this week at Tesla SC and did NOT work.

Even with the doors locked, the adapter can still be disconnected by pressing the blue unlock button.

Hmmmf..

When you did this, did you ensure that neither your fob, nor your PaaK were within range?

While we haven't seen Tesla post to X that they approve of using the Lectron adapter, the fact that GM and Ford are sending/selling the Lectron adapter to their customers is essentially tacit approval from Tesla. And as Tom mentioned in the video, even if Tesla hasn't said in a statement that they approve the use of the Lectron adapter, it could be that Ford and GM talked to Tesla about the use of Lectron adapters. And during those talks Tesla could have said go ahead and use the Lectron bc at the end of the day, Ford and GM would incur the liability if something goes wrong with the adapter.
I’ve been using the Lectron for months- it’s sturdy and works flawlessly.

Hmmmm. Ok. I'm curious what these "advanced features" are for the Ford branded Lectron adapter.
They already posted one of the Ford features (interlock). Definitely looking forward to information on the other “features”. Well, unless the Ford logo being screened onto the adapter is considered to be the other new feature. 🤣🐩

Yeah I saw the CEO of Lectron mention in his X post that interlock was included, but then went on to say "and advanced features", which makes me think that the interlock isn't the advanced feature he's talking about. 😆

You never know. A blue oval with white script in it just might be considered advanced! 🤣🤣🤣🐩

I tried this with the same results. Car locked, bluetooth on phone turned off. Was able to stop the charge session and release the adapter. I'm on the latest software as far as I'm aware.

YouTube needs a “summarize” feature so I don’t have to listen to these long videos, made longer with their stupid “sponsor” plugs, just to get the one or two relevant nuggets of information they contain.
There will be an AI assistant for that in the future I'm sure.

I just got shipping confirmation mine shipped from Ford. I had one of the faulty adapters, so this is my replacement adaptor that has shipped from Dearborn.
Please let us know whether you get another Tesla made one, or the new Lectron sourced one...
