Ford to begin shipping Lectron NACS adapter to customers

If you order direct from Lectron it's $199 w/free shipping. Mine took about a week to arrive, and then Lectron doesn't have to give a cut to Amazon

Just saw this from State of Charge.

Ford will now be shipping the Lectron CCS1 to NACS adapter to customers.

This means there is still a chance I'll get my adaptor from Ford in under a year! Woo hoo!

Only if you live in the 48 states. Because as we know, there are only 48 real states. Lectron does not ship to Alaska or Hawaii.

On the other hand, A2Z, Amazon, and Ford have no issue with free shipping to the 49th and 50th states,

Lectron has been shipping since Jan 2024. Delays have been happening since March from Ford. Seems like someone could have said "hey Tesla's having trouble shipping, we have no confidence in their dates, lets start looking for an alternate source. What about Lectron or A2Z? . Good idea lets start the process now. And lets tell Tesla if they don't deliver we are going to a third party"

Yeah, they should have pulled all stops and moved mountains to make sure I get a free adapter. Priority #1 above all else.

I will never buy another Ford product.

Yeah I would agree. Somehow, GM figured that out way before Ford did. And GM made the decision to go with Lectron as a supplier before GM completed their Supercharging testing. That is the moment where the Ford team in charge of the adapter process should have met and decided to follow GM's lead. Bc by the time it was announced that Lectron would be a supplier for GM, Ford already knew for months that they were having issues meeting demand.

Well apparently they got around any of those issues didn't they? Since they are now shipping a third party adpater

I hear ya! And Ford did get it worked out with Tesla so that Ford could send out Lectron adapters. But can we also agree that GM's leadership team just seems to be miles ahead of Ford with regard to EVs and this adapter fiasco. GM has had to troubles with their EVs including software and battery production, but Mary Barra has executed their EV plan and well, Ford doesn't have a well thought out plan. Which is how we got to this point with the Ford supplied adapters.

Love all this backseat driving. Of course no one gives GM credit from seeing that Ford got 140,000 reservations, and asking Tesla when they would ship GMs adapters, and learning how long it would take then added Lectron to the mix (and by the way it seems like people are only getting the Tesla version from GM, even when they use the Lectron part number given to them by GM)...

One year after the announcement of the switch, yes. In January of 2024 though doing that may have very well been a material breach.

I just got shipping confirmation mine shipped from Ford. I had one of the faulty adapters, so this is my replacement adaptor that has shipped from Dearborn.

I received my replacement adapter today it's the Tesla made one. Looks the same as the one I received in the bad batch in June.
