Door keypad works, but I have not been able to do a backup code to start the vehicle because PAAk module seems to be not connecting with any phone I try to connect. Its like it does not have the PAAK module at all.
Buy another keyfob and have it programmed. Cheap insurance:

If all the software and data is on the same computer and no outside connection is needed and no other tasks are running then yes in general the same code doing the same things will be somewhat deterministic. None of those constraints apply in this case. Within the car there are many separate small processors all interacting with each other over a common network that can and will become congested if they all try to talk at once. Certainly outside of the car the networks connecting Ford's backend servers to the car and the phone app have MANY interconnections and they are shared by a vast number of users who sometimes congest one leg or another of the communications path. Then there is the problem of having to balance "instant response because it's always on" with "draining the battery because it's always on", so often attempts by one component to get data from another doesn't work the first time.

As for how pieces of software interact the best analogy I can think of is comparing a textbook written by a single person in their office with one written, revised, and edited by many people spread out geographically all with different native languages - each of whom is responsible for a few pages. Sure the textbook might get written faster by that group, but it certainly would not be consistent and there will definitely be errors that will happen. Now consider that parts of that book are constantly being changed with new content so that the pieces before and after the change may no longer line up properly or refer to something that is no longer in the edited portion. That's a tough situation for humans but mostly we can figure it out (often with help), but the comparatively simple design of computers prevents them from intelligently recognizing and resolving nonsensical instructions. They are absolutely literal and do EXACTLY what the code tells them to do - even when it is nonsensical.
Interesting, thanks. So if it boils down to network congestion and communication conflicts, can the code not be tested across various corner cases before release? Like slow down certain instructions (adding a few milliseconds) or optimize the code to minimize conflict found during testing. Maybe it is more complex that that, but 2 years is a long time to be struggling with PaaK and other stuff (like Journeys in my case). How come other EV brands (Hyundai, Volkswagen) deliver more reliable apps out of the chute of similar complexity? Or did Ford just start out on the wrong foot, and are realizing their SW parts need overhaul (like the BC OTA)?

It appears it did! I did not have to reboot the App this morning. The first time in over a month!
Nope. No BT connection and app shut down and restart needed today. Ford, fix this issue so we can enjoy PAAK!

Are you finding EV data to be accurate. Mine constantly makes shit up.
My morning commute is 34km. EV driving data in the last few days has reported it as anywhere from 15km to 155km. Needless to say the 155km trip had fantastic consumption numbers :)

Having all kinds of weird issues the last couple days that I never had before. Three times now the car has flat refused to let me in. Standing in 40 degree weather with an unhappy wife last night at Costco did not win any brownie points. The pony and car lights up but the door will not open. FordPass is showing connected but no unlock. I tried to use the app unlock and it just spins. Swiping it away didn't fix it, finally had to force stop and restart the app. Finally got in the car. Not sure if it is related to this version update, but throwing it in this thread since it started then. PAAK has been pretty great for me lately up until now.

This happens when the trip counter in the car doesn't reset after a drive. The app is just reporting what it got from the car. Hopefully they fix this bug soon with an OTA.

I have this new update but still no option to use PAAK to open the Frunk. I've seen some posts with this function on FordPass. I have Job 1 build, an FE that I got in March 2021. Will that option not be available to early builds?

Yup, plugged in since last night 7 hrs ago, but no battery info on Ford Pass for 15hrs
@Ford Motor Company, what the heck?
Why is it that your software updates seemingly have a coin-flip's chance (50%) of degrading core, mission-critical performance as opposed to improving it?
Like it or not, Ford is now a software company. I have the suspicion you're gonna have to pay like one and offer the work-life amenities to hire the new development talent away from Tesla or Apple....
seriously! Not providing real-time battery level charging progress while charging seems like a fundamental requirement for an EV. Please @Ford Motor Company let us know when to expect a fix on this.

Yes, some day. The last official word from Ford is that it was coming in an OTA update in December 2021.

I was bewildered that the equivalent GM app for my girlfriend's Chevy Bolt perpetually failed to update to show current charging details while FordPass clearly did on my Mach-E.

And now Ford Pass has DEGENERATED, DEGRADED, DEVOLVED (whatever you want to call it) to that degree of incompetence.

@Ford Motor Company, I'm not expecting Tesla-height software, but surely you can't sink to the level of *shudder* General Motors...

Entering the code on the B-pillar is your friend in a situation like that. When I'm on my own I'll screw around with the app. If I have anyone with me I go straight to the code if PaaK is being obnoxious.

I got the charge level and distance to empty display back. That disappeared months ago and I thought I'd never get it back.
